Hillary’s media strategy needs to be revisited. States that are normally not in play are. States that normally are in play aren’t. She can focus on Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri. If she is really smart she will focus on states where she can lengthen her coattails.
What makes you think they don’t realize that?
Nothing. Are you sensitive or what?
We are here on TPM musing about the good news Hillary is enjoying.
Not really.
You are reading these polls wrong. “Chances rise for Trump getting a long vacation.”
No. The liars balance out.
Great, but that’s not what you said. You said she needs to change her strategy.
If and when Clinton leads in Utah THAT would be the coup d’cock slap to Trump’s face
Sounds right, knock wood. We need Clinton to wipe the floor with Trump not just in the electoral vote but as much as possible in the popular vote as well: she’ll have enough forces arrayed against her without the media lending credibility to the GOP’s inevitable claims of illegitimacy by having her total be lower than that of Trump+Johnson(+?). Republicans managed to convince most of the country Bill only won because of Perot (not true; documentation available upon request), which cost us a more liberal Clinton presidency (yup) and perpetuated the “center-right country” line that caused us actual damage for more than a decade and still lingers in too many quarters. Red state, purple state, blue state – your votes all matter!
Nobody should be overconfident; but this year, more than one pollster’s finding that their likely-voter pools actually lean more D, maybe from an enthusuasm gap (yes, that seems to favor us this year). I’m always dubious of likely-voter screens, even 90 days out, but it’s been an interesting phenomenon.
Donald doesn’t need them anyways, he was never going to hire those states and they are weak anyways, losers really. It’s not him, it’s them, they are awful, awfully awful.
Can Mr. Weak Orange Sauce just call Uncle and concede now, before all this drubbing continues?
Drubbing, I love this. Trump-drubbed, the Drub is on.
Drip-Drip-Drip, Drub-Drub-Drub.
Rub a Dub Dub, Trump Drubbed in a tub.
Here a drub there a drub everywhere an orange haired drub.
To drub or not to drub, 'tis the question.
In a recent poll, Hillary was up 100 to 0 in the drub column.
Hillary kicks Donald in his drubs, coining a new term, drubbing.
Donald wouldn’t know a drub if it smacked him across his face and the proof is, Hillary just drubbed him hard and he had no idea what hit him.
The Trump drubbing can be seen from space.
Shrub phoned in to say that Drub is an idiot.
Drubbing; 1) the ultimate act of pounding one’s opponent. 2) winning!
Hillary released her taxes and a write off of one million drubbings under entertainment raised a few eyebrows.
Drubbing, now in new orange/vanilla colors and deep sunset.
Let the drubbing commence and the beatings ensue.
Wisely, Donald bought drub shares before the market exploded, then it exploded. Oops!
say that three times real fast…
Johnson is just a conservative tax-cutting granny starver like the rest of them, but he wants to legalize marijuana, because profit. Gormless young’uns take his dope stand to mean he’s a cool guy. Idiots.
Top 'o the world, Ma!!!23one!!!#!%$!!!
And the tanks blew.
So goes Drumpf’s campaign
Yes she does, she is enjoying an unexpected bounty of riches. You are simply too serious for a Friday afternoon.
Ok, make a post, don’t explain it, blame me for responding. Awesome. Hava great weekend.
The need to adjust her media buying strategy is blindingly obvious. I didn’t know I had to explain it to you. You don’t spend money where it is no longer necessary. I am not blaming you for anything except trying to pick an absolutely unnecessary fight. You have a great weekend too.
I read recently that Clinton is getting 93% support from Democrats. I think Obama got 92% in 2012. I know 3 people who won’t vote for Clinton but who supported Bernie, none of them are registered democrats and none voted for Obama in 2012. 2 of 3 voted for Obama in 2008.
The bernie or busters that remain are true leftist political independents who normally aren’t part of the political process, but were pulled in by Bernies extreme (which I agree with) positions. It would certainly be nice to reach them, but it will take a transformational candidate, like Obama in 08 to do so. But they aren’t usually part of the Democrats coalition and almost never the Republican coalition.
Frankly, Clinton’s recent actions are going to further alienate them, since she is reaching across the isle to get Republican voters, which is now the smart policitcal move. With Bernie’s endorsement, her left flank is safe and Trump has abandoned the middle. She has the most room to grow there, and actually flips possible Trump voters, rather than merely adding on fringe leftist voters. Maybe a few of them will turn to Clinton in the privacy of the voting booth, but they aren’t an important part of this race any longer.
