I wonder how she feels about say 9/11 victims or veterans who have seen the folly of war running for elected office.

I have listened to McBath talk. Her race and gender didn’t have anything to do with her election. She won because of her very genuine anti-gun position and the strength of her convictions. The NRA can suck eggs.

In fairness her Republican opponent was a woman, but in her district it is impossible for anyone to say with a straight face that she won because of her gender or race. She won because she was better on the issues. Her big issue is gun control. That should scare people in the Republican party who think they own the white suburbs. The Republicans might get her seat back but it will take a giant effort and the NRA’s participation might not be all that helpful.

It really doesn’t matter how much credibility anyone who speaks out against violence actually has on the issue. Whether the person is a survivor of a mass shooting, a loved one of someone who was killed by a gun, a police chief, member of the military, it just doesn’t matter to them. Unless you think guns are fun for the whole family then you have no credibility with those people. It’s sick.
