Discussion: New Jersey Presidential Primary

You know what would be helpful to have with these results? The time the polls close.

Agreed.

The New Jersey polls close at:
8 PM Eastern
7 PM Central
6 PM Mountain
5 PM Pacific

…and is a semi-closed primary meaning “Independent” voters are ineligible to vote in the Democratic Primary, however, “Unaffiliated” voters are eligible to participate with the understanding that their party affiliation will automatically change to Democrat upon casting their vote.

Mine, too. Tomorrow is a busy day and I’ll be heading to bed a short time from now. I’ll get the results early in the morning.

Maybe not. The LA Times is saying that 20% of mail ins will be postmarked today. They will not be counted till tomorrow. Turnout in CA has been light to moderate, at or below average overall. Early voting and lower turnout said to favor HRC.

The Guardian just called it for HRC also.

Taken from Laura Clawson at DailyKos by way of Vox for all those that want to know when polls close in all the various states tonight:

Six states are going to the polls on the Democratic side, with a total of 694 delegates at stake. The most important of them by far is California, which has 475 of those delegates and where polls close at 11 pm Eastern/8 pm Pacific. The second-biggest prize is New Jersey, where 126 delegates are at stake; polls close at 8 pm Eastern.

The other four states to vote are New Mexico (34 delegates, polls close at 7 pm local time), Montana (21 delegates, polls close at 8 pm local time), South Dakota (20 delegates, polls close at 7 pm local time), and North Dakota (18 delegates, caucuses begin 7 pm local time). And technically there’s one more contest after this — the District of Columbia Democratic primary is a week from today, on June 14.

Great… and this was the original plan, but I’d take it!

That’s okay, Bernie didn’t want to live in the stupid White House anyway.

Too many variables. I tell ya what – I’ll call it. Hillary 76.7%. Bernie 13.3%. All Others, whatever the heck is left. Done. Oh, and all sales are final – no returns accepted … for any reason(s). Whining, in particular.
