Discussion: New Evidence Emerges Of Possible Wrongdoing By Trump Inaugural Cmte

The charity I choose is the Save the MattinPAs Foundation. Provably nonprofit, no problem there.

Treason and thievery, that’s what the GOP supports?

Tax law prohibits nonprofits from paying inflated prices to entities that are owned by people who also control or influence the nonprofit’s activities.

“Every legitimate nonprofit is very concerned with this,” said Doug White, a veteran adviser to tax exempt organizations, speaking generally. “You’re benefiting a private person, and you’re using the nonprofit to do it.”

But paying inflated prices for space that benefited the person who also controlled the nonprofit’s activities is the Trump Foundation way. Just ask Eric and his golf tournaments at Trump courses.

I don’t think so. The jumpsuit will offer no contrast to his facial complexion, all but rendering him invisible at sunset.

Fuck that. They shouldn’t have a view of anything other than some smokestacks and industrial equipment churning and clanking all through the day and night.

Thank you for passing this along. It’s just another thing on the pile of crap that the grifters have done since the beginning. Their idea of “non-profit” means “nobody but me gets to profit”.

Grifting from the get-go. :unamused:

ETA: The “American carnage” Trump referred to in his Inaugural Address was the theft of millions from all of us in broad daylight.

I’m too old to engage in much wishful thinking any more, but this one is pretty tempting.

Yesterday evening I was talking to my son and he said, “Bezos is an actual billionaire, and Trump isn’t. I can see him easily making the Trump organizations give up every penny they ever hoped to have defending against Bezos investigating them.” We agreed that it’s pretty amazing, considering our long dislike of Bezos’ ongoing desire to own all the money in the world at the expense of lots and lots of smaller businesses, Trump can boast that he’s got us cheering for Bezos. What a twisted world.

So dumb. There are ways to take bribes and embezzle money and there are ways how not to do it.

One way to not embezzle money is to have it all funneled into an organization that will be audited and under high scrutiny for the exact sort of crimes you’re committing. Even worse if you’re doing it by using written invoices to overcharge for things, especially if you do it by email and include someone with enough brains to warn you against doing the dumb thing you’re doing and you do it anyway.

Trump could have made great money just buying cheap real estate around the world and flipping it to whoever’s willing to pay the most to get his attention and nobody could prove anything because real estate values are subjective. But Trump’s too small time for that sort of thing and instead just did the standard price gouging he’s always used to squeeze nickels out of his businesses when he should be making real money.

Friday’s not over, yet. I hope for some tidbit from Mueller to finish off the week.

Ah. Lovely. Take out the word “wedding” and it’ll be ready to go. Even ragamuffins have lines they won’t cross.

I guess since you are the region’s #1 bar mitzvah and birthday videographer you can’t fit those tantrumming brides into your schedule.

Well, you’ve got me now. I can’t resist contributing to that. I hope MattinPa truly appreciates your efforts on his behalf.

I’m just glad it’s not located two blocks south, on Bendover. Rough neighborhood.
