Thank God for Letterman. I always liked the Merkel massage spontaneous(and really bizarre) moment.

Grammarian, jealous closet lesbian or performance artist? You decide…

She once was a Republican just like Bernie has been a Socialist. She understands whom she is fighting. Bill never did. His actions concerning trade and crime policy show Bill’s lack of conviction for the American worker. Hillary and Bernie know what is important and won’t give in.

Don’t try to use carpetbagging as an argument against Hillary when Bernie is piggybacking off of the Democratic Party for his presidential run. Continue to drive on the issues you want changed. They will be taken seriously by Hillary if you stay on policy. Taking things too personally in a campaign is a waste of time.

As I understand, Bernie has come out against construction of conventional nuclear power plants. This is pretty interesting. As we have seen with the ill-fated Olkiluoto 3 project, the financial consequences alone are already severe. I don’t know if its gutsy, but Sanders might be one of the cheaper presidents in modern history.

Yeah, knew that would get me in trouble. Just being lazy and disrespectful this morning.

Plus I was watching Pootie & Francesco duke it out on My Cat From Hell.

Uhh… She came from (lower-middle class) suburban Chicago? And she’s ambitious, like everyone who’s ever had the audacity to run for President?

I really don’t get the depiction of her as some kind of diabolical shitmonster. There’s a lot not to like there, sure, but hey, what do you expect? She’s a political hack. And unlike most of them, she actually has made some effort to publicly reconsider decisions she’s made and votes she took. She’s shown that she learned from 2008.

Well that’s a bit overstated but so what. Anyone that runs against Trump is tough enough to stop him because he’s already stopped himself.

Ok you don’ like Bill. Leave him out of the conversation then.

So…

Technically, the ad doesn’t actually say she’s the “only” candidate tough enough to stop Trump. It does say she’s “the one,” which is pretty close.

That is absolutely fabulous!

The same trouble hundreds of New Yorkers have every single day of the week.

As always, you trot out weak sauce and claim it’s 180 proof.

Maybe that’s how it will work out. I hope so. But only because she was chased up that ladder and there’s nowhere to go but to crash through the centist ceiling.

From those wide-eyed Unicorns at The Atlantic:
“Sanders has already demonstrated that “pursuing an agenda of dealing with stagnant incomes and income inequality is no longer the liberal pole in the Democratic Party but is the solid majority position,” says the Democratic pollster Guy Molyneux. Even more emphatically, he’s shown that the Millennial Generation will respond to a message that swings for the fences with far more sweeping change—on issues from tuition-free public college to combating the influence of money in politics—than most Democratic leaders consider feasible in today’s polarized climate………
In the combined results of all 21 states with exit polls, Sanders has won a remarkable 71 percent of voters under 30—an even higher percentage than Obama attracted against Clinton in 2008. Win or lose, Sanders’ success in mobilizing Millennials will accelerate a generational shift in influence likely to lastingly reconfigure how Democrats define the parameters of the possible.”

You know, neither do I. I have mobility issues so I don’t get out much. I’m lucky to have my brother who helps with all that.

I don’t hold it against either.

The former Secretary of State is no stranger to the insane worlds of Putin or ISIS. She’s been navigating those waters a long time…not quite the same as negotiating a turnstile thing that doesn’t work. It isn’t her competence or expertise or intentions that are questioned, but whether the methods she might choose are the least destructive means with the fewest unintended consequences. That said, people do learn from their mistakes. I hope.

So…?

Her handling of that grueling and meaningless “hearing” was impressive.
Very few of the males who were grilling her could have stood up to it.
Sanders is also impressive at his decades-long interactions with the idiocy of the media, asking the most stupid and irrelevant questions over and over and over again. The recent interview with the NY paper an example. I don’t see any explosions or pique, but a man repeating his insistence that the economic reality is devastating to the country.
