I’m all goose-pimply.
when is caucusing done? somehow I feel i will be asleep.
10 PM Eastern/7PM Pacific time.
There’s something strangely appropriate seeing the full list of Republican candidates with “0” next to each name.
Already called for Trump, a minute after the polls closed.
Robio Rubio is not doing that well considering that he spent millions of Kochhead dollars and claimed to have spent his teenage years in Nevada. Less than 200 votes separate Robio Rubio from C-Section Born Cruz at this hour. I thought that Nevada was going to be the state Robio Rubio won as part of his 4-3-2-1 plan.
Looks like Robio Rubio may lose Florida as well.
Clark County is the tell as most of the state population. Trump has fallen a few points from his height. Nevada may live up to it’s reputation as unpredictable. It will be Trump, but likely not by the margin he’s enjoying right now.
I can see Kasich and Carson dropping out after this, though Carson might keep it going as a book tour. GOP’s best bet might be if Cruz drops out after old Super/new SEC Tuesday, when he pockets a cache of the last proportional delegates, then throws his support whole-heartedly behind Rubio. Cruz could appear on the stump with the Rube, as if he was already the VP, and by Cleveland they might just edge out the renegade Don. They’ll still lose in the general, but they might be able to salvage something of a rump party and build from there. If Trump wins the nomination, the GOP as we know it is done and not in a good way.
So far tonight, maybe well into tomorrow, what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas.
43% of the vote in Clark County is in and Trump leads by 29%. That should frighten every thinking American. Fortunately he needs a majority. Goodnight, Irene.
Is this the end of Ted Cruz? I hope so.
Really, really want Ted-io to stay in the race to hurt Rub-io.
Trump’s final 45% is above the 30-odd ceiling that many were prognosticating - the guy sure beats expectations.
