Discussion for article #246078
Can you imagine any bonding company stupid enough to write that one? Or Bundy actually making over some kind of surety without the caveat “Of course, we’ll shoot at you if you try to collect it”?
OK… when does the cattle roundup down at the ranch start… we need to get our money back if he got a court appointed attorney by pleading poverty…
Even the daugther questions the jurisdiction. The derp runs deeper than the genes
As an American taxpayer, I hope the Feds collect what he owes on my behalf.
In a perfect world the Yeehadists would start a GoFundMe for Cloven, which would then be seized to fulfill his tax liabilities.
The daughter-in-law seems (deliberately or otherwise) to misunderstand the notion of flight risk as being about whether Bundy will leave the country. It’s about whether he would show up peacefully for his next court date, and I’m pretty sure on that one Slim left town long ago.
It’s hard to argue that he should be released on his own recognizance when he aggressively denies the authority of the Federal Government to try him, and has shown a willingness to threaten Federal officers with firearms.
Hey Mr. Bundy, are you starting to believe in the Federal Government, yet?
It was worth the wait.
Rot in jail you sorry deadbeat asshole.
So, he’s gotta stay in the can.
Oh, darn!
Damn Clive, how did you get your old ass caught up in this pretzel? You can be locked up for life?!
Not to mention, that you’ve lost your political power and gun rights too!
Bundy’s attorney, Noel Grefenson, said his client could not be a danger if authorities waited to charge him for 22 months
Wrong. He was a danger this entire time. The Feds simply waited until he was stupidly lured onto an airplane and flew into a secured area where he would not be armed nor surrounded by armed goons.
(evil grin)
hey. he scares me. please keep him away.
Lien the heck out of him and then, when he does not pay, confiscate his land and turn it into a public park. Maybe set up a nice little webcam so he can see the public enjoying it while he and his progeny rot in jail for the rest of their lives.
Cliven got cocky thought he was untouchable - not. Ah the hubris.
Good! That MFer should have been in jail long ago.
Now let’s see the dumb redneck “constitutionalists” storm the jail to free Bundy!
(God, the idiocy of those nitwits never seems to end).
It always amazes me that people think they can out last the Federal Government.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see his goons try something while he is being transferred between court and jail. I know it doesn’t make sense, but neither does any of the Bundy gang’s moves wrt the Feds.
The U.S. attorney’s memo supporting pretrial detention is a thing of beauty -all 34 pages of it. It states:
“Bundy is lawless and violent. He does not recognize federal courts – claiming
they are illegitimate – does not recognize federal law, refuses to obey federal court
orders, has already used force and violence against federal law enforcement officers
while they were enforcing federal court orders, nearly causing catastrophic loss of
life or injury to others. He has pledged to do so again in the future to keep federal
law enforcement officers from enforcing the law against him.”
