Discussion: Neo-Confederate Leader Behind Arrest Warrant For Black Man Beaten In C'Ville

Harris was supposed to take the beating and the police were supposed to look the other way (but they seem to be slow-walking the investigation).

So a white robed racist found another racist this one wearing a black robe to assist. The question will be just how long the local judiciary will allow the farce to last. If more than a day then I would think the the majority of the judiciary in the area are sympathetic. We know for a fact the DOJ and their boss in DC are sympathetic.

Yeah, these guys PLANNED to do damage in Cā€™Ville. They came with a fight in mind. They got more of a fight than they expected, and werenā€™t intimidating people the way they expected. In short, they planned to be bullies, and when some of the others didnā€™t back down, they were shocked.

This mess with Harris is typical of bullies- they beat someone up and are now trying to make him the aggressor.

In light of what we have seen, wouldnā€™t it have been easier for the Nazis to run that guy down or shoot him in the street?Clearly, nothing is done in many of these cases.

He seems nice.

He looks like a hairless geek posing as a skinhead as his badass beard.

This warrant will lead to exactly zero prosecution. Itā€™s a nuisance item, filed by neo-Nazis and issued by a very confused local magistrate. Good luck getting this charge to stick.

Not a judge. A magistrate. A Virginia state magistrate. Federal magistrate-judges are uneven in quality, but Iā€™ve never heard of a state where magistrates were held in high esteem.

In Virginia, they appear to be kind of judicial janitors. They do similar stuff in North Carolina and, as I recall, Kentucky. In North Carolina, they also preside over small claims court.

Speaking as a lawyer practicing in a neighboring state, all I can say is that every contact Iā€™ve had with their judicial system reinforces my initial impression that it is damn near more anachronistic and just plain weird than Louisianaā€™s.

Maybe a counter suit? Jury trial?

Criminal warrant. One that may well get this guy sued for abuse of process and malicious prosecution once it all shakes out. Hopefully, the SPLC will be happy to handle that for him.

Jaywalking is probably more appropriate.

Despicable and deplorable.
