I think for as much as we goggle in morbid fascination at this guy, it’s a challenge to understand that he really doesn’t see the universe the way most people do. I was thinking the other day it’s like “The Truman Show” in reverse: We watch him and all of us, the entire audience so to speak, understand that he’s living a real life with consequences for all of us, and he’s the only one who doesn’t understand and thinks it’s all a stage show he can totally control and it happens in an eternal present where “How’m I doing?” is the only relevant question.
