Discussion: Nadler: 'No Need' For Mueller To Testify If His Report 'Answers All Our Questions'

Why is Nunes saying the report should be burned if it exonerates Trump?

ā€œDo you completely lack subtly or are you just trolling Dems?ā€

Just the facts as I see them Sir. No subtlety. Nuance in politics is a fools’ game. Trump killed and unceremoniously buried whatever was left of it.

For record I have voted for each and every Democratic candidate in every election at every level since 1986 when I became eligible to vote. I am tired of waiting for the Dems to be themselves and not be always looking around the corner for what the Repubs will approve. Ah they talk a big talk but when push comes to shove they do things like premptively declaring that torturers and their enablers will not be held accountable and passing a health care plan drafted by a very conservative arm of the Republican Party and appointing a Republican to be the head of the FBI who later stabs their leading Presidential candidate in the front in the public square in front of tens of millions of people and once again premptively declaring that impeachment of the President is off the table unless the Republicans give permission for it.

I think the only exception in the public release of the report should be anything that’s classified information, for the same reason Mueller’s team didn’t want to share classified info with the Russian company they indicted. Otherwise, we really need to see the entire thing, not just a summary that glosses over details; there are too many questions and the Mueller report won’t answer them all, but it should at least tell the story of what was going on and who was involved. Even if someone was duped or did something without understanding the legality, it should be out there so the people can have that information.

@tena As for Nunes, he’s likely scared stiff because his actions may have ended up in the report…I don’t know if he did anything illegal by trying to help the Trump administration out, but he sure didn’t uphold his oversight duty. If that gets spelled out he’s scared what that will mean for his political future, so of course he wants nothing released, ever. And he won’t be the only one…I’m actually sick of the hypocrisy of Republicans who are trying to ignore whatever happened in 2016 while they ran 8 Benghazi investigations in an attempt to drag Clinton down.

Can we get Trump to stand on it while it burns? I do believe that burning the witch is the traditional outcome of a successful witch hunt. (Actually, I seem to recall that most witches were executed by hanging, but that isn’t the tradition of lore.)

Perhaps Kid Rock’s grossly disrespectful flag pants stroked him out.

Works for me. Figure out how to do that and I’m all for it. I’ll light the match.

We could tell him that is where the spotlight is, and where the camera will be focused. It might work.

You don’t want it to be that broad, or you’ll get 3,000 pages of pure black, showing only page numbers. The government is well-known for way over-classifying.

Here, there’s got to be a much more subtle touch, focusing on specific items which would identify specific foreign or undercover personnel or any unknown and current tapping mechanism we have in place in specific foreign countries, things of that nature.

This is funny. All of us are so seriously discussing whether the report should be made public or not or how much of it should be made public as if there is anything in the report that will change the dynamics of the Trump Presidency, which now has evolved firmly in his favor.

When the report is fully released, they will be so kind as to give us the task of discussing the literary value of the report or to find the spelling or grammatical mistakes in it and the discussion will focus on if or when they will correct those linguistic infractions.

I think Nadler’s point was that that priority should be on making the full report public. Focusing on bringing Mueller in really is a distraction. It’s his report that matters. He can testify if needed after we’ve all read the report.

Wild guess: The trust levels for Barr and Mueller at this moment aren’t precisely what one would prefer to see.

Well could be.
