Discussion: Murkowski: Trump Was ‘Wholly Inappropriate’ In Mocking Blasey Ford

Of the repubs in the Senate, my sense is that Murkowski is the most likely ‘no’ vote on Judge Bart. (I’m not saying she’ll vote no, I’m just saying she’s the most likely.)

And so is his SC pick.

I wonder how long someone can live in a state of total denial? We have a whole party full of people in denial.

Agreed.

Based on Trump’s life trajectory… forever.

Whoever is tempted to say things like “harsh words are nice, but it’s the vote that actually counts”, well, you’re right. But you have to look at these statements in the context of the crazy shit Grassley is saying, the seemingly-lengthening FBI investigation, Yertle’s “no, we’ll TOTALLY vote on Friday, look at my strength” comments, and everything else.

Right now, they don’t have the votes.

Murkowski, Collins and Flake are all working up the courage to stick their fingers in the eyes of both McConnell and Trump later this week. Trump has helped them a lot in doing this.

So when does the game actually become “find the TRUTHS in Kavanaugh’s testimony”? I’m honestly unsure there were any. I’d like to see some MSM bobblehead ask Graham or one of these fence-sitting dillholes THAT question. “So what, exactly, did he say that was truthful?”

Local borough/city elections up here in parts of AK last night. Old time polling place keepers noted a line for the first time ever… My community leans to the left so hard to tell who the extra voters were exactly but hope abounds.

I’m still hoping those three are talking and may give the long awaited and totally appropriate “NO”!!!

He basically said “what I deserve is being taken away from me”, and I think he believes that.

That might be the whole list, though.

I couldn’t agree more. McConnell is trying to hide the fact that he’s covered in flop sweat. What’s more, Collins, Murkowski and Flake just keep getting angrier with every new story about Kavanaugh. It isn’t just a lost cause, it’s a cause that continues to lose more each hour it’s prolonged.

Trump often is an idiot. Mocking Blasey Ford may have taken a winning hand (which he has at this time), and pissed off Flake, Murkowski, and Collins. It’s not smart, but Trump usually lets his braggadocio get in the way of his “thinking”.

Yeah I get that about him but he ain’t right and I’m not willing to say that the entire GOP ain’t right in the head. They are desperate but not crazy like their president.

If I were Dr Ford’s husband I would go to the White House along with some reporters … and demand a face to face with trump. I’ll leave it to your imgination the words I would use.
150 years ago this would be grounds for pistols at 20 paces.

Oh, they’re talking all right. And they’re saying things that very few Republicans will want to hear.

I think we’re beginning to see the layout of the chess pieces on the board.

IDK about this, Sen. Hirono gave her an out when questioning Kavanaugh about his writing on Native Hawaiians issues, and that should be a warning signal for Murkowski and Native Alaskans. Native Alaskans showed up and voted her as a write in candidate.

I think the number is higher than I’m ready to accept. Maybe 70%? I just cannot understand why these polling races are even close. The people still planning to vote republican in one month are… incomprehensible to me.

Even if Collins and Murkoski both vote ‘no’, there are still 50 Republican yes votes, counting Pence. No one else, certainly not Flakey Flake, is going to defect.
