Discussion: Mulvaney: Trump Thinks O'Care Should 'Hurt' Insurance Providers, Lawmakers

It’s just getting so difficult to decide which of his appointees is the most hateful, heartless and self-serving. Mulvaney has to be in the top three…I eagerly await to see the reaction of all the Trump voters who may soon find themselves without insurance coverage. I don’t think it will sit well, and I hope they take it out on him.

He doesn’t understand or care how the whole thing works. The basic illiteracy about everything still amazes me, even after his effort to convince all of us that he is to shallow to function in society, much less the White House. And the notion that he cares about fairness one way or another is absurd.
Please make it stop.

Ending subsidies doesn’t hurt insurance companies. It hurts low income people who otherwise would not be able to afford healthcare. Cruel, stupid, heartless, and short sighted.

Obamacare does not hurt poor people. The subsidies help middle of the road people afford the premiums that their employers refuse to share in. The poor get medicaid. The people Obamacare helps most, single working moms who are making +$32k-$50k. THAT’s who the subsidies help! The insurance companies, of course want their “bailout” else they would not be in business at all. So the only REAL solution is to make insurance companies obsolete. As far as congress goes, those guys don’t need the subsidies, it’s their STAFF that need them (see above). AND THAT is who Trump is threatening. So screw Donald. He is a total idiot and those that lap his crap up, they deserve every lose this administration racks up.

Insurance companies:

Hurt us? Okay.

And when we stop taking your party’s calls and the money stops, you’ll know why.

Because at the end of the day, the job of the president is to hurt SOMEONE.

Mulvaney is a fucking piker. And, if it causes someone else pain, he’s all for it. After all, demonstrating his willingness towards vindictiveness, is how he got the job in the first place. Wanton acts of depravity are prerequisites for joining tRumpworld.

Exactly. If I’m a big insurance CEO, I’ve got one message for the GOP: “I guess we’ll just have to find somebody else to give our money to. Remember Citizens United? Hold on to your horses.”

Well, don-the-con apparently believes the only way to get results from “underlings” is through fear and pain. Watching him operate makes me hope his kids were under their mothers’ care most of the time. (Though as adults, those who now are should have learned a different approach through interaction with peers, and it seems likely they did not. That’s on them.)

I think Price is the worst.

Mulvaney is the biggest ass in Washington. And that’s saying something.

I can think of a certain WH budget chief who deserves to be hurt.

The only upside I can see to this dumpster fire of an administration, is that it may finally put to rest the idea that government should be run like a business. Businesses get to hurt whomever they want, because they are only about profit (In Dumpster World). Government’s job is to protect its people from Business cruelty and harm, not inflict it. This whole administration is sick, sick, sick.

Best line I’ve read about Price: “He speaks like a man arguing with a waitress.”

Don’t they understand that if they hurt insurance companies, they will drop out of the market, and that will hurt consumers?
