Discussion: Mulvaney: Moore Accusations 'Credible' But 'I Don't Know Who To Believe'

Mick Mulvaney: what about the allegations women made against Trump? Do you believe those women? Do you believe the allegations women made against Bill Clinton? What about Anita Hill’s allegations about Clarence Thomas? Do you believe George HW Bush had a longtime girlfriend who was given jobs wherever he was so they could be together? Her name was Jennifer Fitzgerald. And last of all, do you believe you were fit to fill the congressional seat in SC-5 once occupied by the Democrat John Spratt? I don’t and I never will - not even if hell freezes over.

My very limited understanding is that we are—or were—the best. But you have to have the will to use it or you might as well not have any weapons at all.

This is so enjoyable, you have a male of the same political party saying the women’s statements are credible, but he can’t weigh in because 1) he’s a male and he’s thinking about all the scummy males back home that have pulled this sort of crap, 2) he’s a dad with at least one daugher ( is Finn a girl’s name now, if so he’s got two daughters), 3) he’s a Republican they stick together through thick or thin, and this is not a legal matter, it’s a conduct matter, but hey we gotta keep our majority no matter the dick who is running, and finally 4) hey it’s Alabama.

If they get anywhere near Branson, they won’t go any further north.

Why do these Republicans have to “have a daughter” to act appropriately on sexual harassment issues?
I don’t own an elephant and yet I am convinced it’s wrong to shoot them.

I don’t own enough warm clothing to wear on that trip north. A niece is in school in Duluth, parents makes the trip every so often, and they’re the bravest people I know. It’s about 20 degrees today.

Nor should you. My strong suspicion for awhile has been, that if Moore wins the seat, McConnell will forget all about not seating him, or expelling him or even an ethics investigation. He will trot out something like “The people of Alabama have spoken, and it’s not my place to second guess their will”.

He has only been making noise because he believes Moore will lose, and he doesn’t want any of the blame for that loss coming back on him. If Moore actually wins, he will be singing an entirely different tune.

Well, on cyberwar capacity, I’m sure Snowden fucked us pretty good and continues to do so until his usefulness no longer applies, so probably have to start from that time line and work forward to overhaul, upgrade and innovate from there. Just my opine, doesn’t make it right I admit, just saying.

Its a unisex name.

Because unless it affects them personally or may affect one of their own they don’t care, but then there’s the Chaffetz syndrome, so yeah he shouldn’t have to be personally effected but…we’ll see if anyone else in this boogle of weasels has the morals to stand up and commit to a position.

Yes! Yesterday they promised 60 and I didn’t realize that we’d hit that at 2 AM and decline in temp and rain.

There was some mention during his appointment about not paying taxes for his live in nanny for his youngest daughter. So if Wiki lists the offspring by age, then in this case Finn is a female.

I wish that were true but I think it’s worse than that - it doesn’t really ‘affect them’. Having a daughter just gives them some basis for short term outrage. Recall the Republicans who were offended by Trump’s Access Hollywood tapes and withdrew support of him. Two weeks later they were back on board.

Yes the Chaffetz syndrome.

Well, Mulvaney is a joke.

Ahem, they’re two separate sentences.

Credible means believable. If you believe that something is credible, but that you don’t know what to believe, then you are seriously confused, or that you don’t want to believe what you believe you believe.
