Apparently one of the dead is an 8-year-old boy. There is no excuse for that in any way, shape or form. Killing is horrific enough, but killing an 8-year-old is beyond the pale.

Thanks, but, unless you have some specific theory to explain this event – say, for example, that a Grand Wizard of the Klan was taking out enemy combatants, including very young ones – I think I’ll stick with the indignity I feel over every random senseless murder. I never want to reach the point where I check that outrage at the door.

I"m a white female retiree. Having read this story on another site that concluded that the suspect, still unidentified, had been apprehended without any gun shots, I was sure he had to be white. Yes, a 45-year old white guy. This is what America has come to.

Well, if that 8 year-old had a gun, he could have stopped this. Don’t abridge our Second Amendment rights, give third graders more guns!

It’s considered exceptional by industrialized nations, but for most Latin American and Caribbean countries gun violence in the US is quite tolerable compared to their own countries.
