Perhaps a little OT, or completely on topic… A friend of mine made this video and song. Made my week…

what the President said…

“Van der Zwaan is the son-in-law of Ukrainian-Russian billionaire German Khan.”

Wanna guess how/why the little shit landed a job at Skaaden? I bet he’s one of those who couldn’t lawyer his way out of an open loading dock door without bumping into the sides…but boy oh boy do those big firms love themselves some connections.

German Kwan who is one of the founders and owners of Alfa Bank, a personal friend of, and apparent money launderer for, Putin is who named repeatedly in the Steele Dossier (and is, in oligarch fashion, suing over it).

There’s a hell of a lot more going on here that the press is reporting, or, apparently, seeing.

Well, Manafort has little time left, and life is too short, especially for someone at the age of 68. He needs to make the only and obvious choice when it’s too obvious.

He still has a wide range of employment opportunities but his prospective client base has changed significantly.

Dumb enough or scared enough of his father in law and his father in law’s friends to lie to the Feds and think he could cover up communications he lied about merely by deleting emails.

Hopefully, he’s dumb enough to offer testimony adverse to his father in law. But I wouldn’t be eating out or letting my beverages out of my sight if I was him

Only in the US. Besides, he don’t need no stinking career …

Van der Zwaan is the son-in-law of Ukrainian-Russian billionaire German Khan.

Trading habeus petitions and motions for appropriate relief for cigarettes?

@coimmigrant

In all seriousness, yes. His law license is as good as revoked. Pleading guilty to any crime of deceit is going as least get your license suspended for a long time, but lying to the feds in a criminal investigation is a crash and burn career move. He may never get his license back. At best it will be a very long time.

I don’t expect that whatever he traded for this plea is going to help his marriage.

Do you think his father in law is going to be the father of a widow soon?

Well, the good news for him is that his son-in-law will have a lot more time to work on this suit for him, now his case backlog’s been cleared and he has all that time on his hands…

Mueller’s March. Now I feel like I need a score card.

Guilty Pleas:

  1. George Papadopoulos
  2. Michael Flynn
  3. Ricard Pinedo
  4. Alex van der Zwaan
  5. Rick Gates TBD

Indictments:

  1. Paul Manafort
  2. Rick Gates
  3. 13 Russians

Am I missing anyone?
