He’ll try that, of course. But now that Barr has thoroughly outed himself as corrupt actor and the Mueller Report seems to be much stronger than some of us were beginning to fear, this is going to be a lot more difficult strategy to pull off. We have lots and lots of ammunition now–not to mention that, as is confirmed in the report, the investigation is definitely ongoing, having been morphed into 20 separate investigations (that we know of). Plus this doesn’t even touch the counter-intelligence part of the Mueller investigation.

Exactly no one should be surprised by this. I foresee a long slow steady drip of allegations against Trump that will drive him to even more erratic behavior and further marginalize the Republicans right up through next year’s election. The only thing that could blow this for the Democrats is, well… the Democrats I guess.

In other words, the members of the Trump Campaign did not interfere (with the help of Russia). That leaves a lot of people close to DT who may have done (did do) the dirty work.
I think Mueller’s careful language is leaving a lot of bread crumbs.

Actually, it was more a sledge hammer over the head on that one. Suggest is far too delicate of a word.
I have had a limited amount of time to read what people have been pulling from the report. But it reads like a cop discussing a miscreant passing by. A job was pulled off, everyone knows who did it, but being a good cop, the evidence is not in yet to arrest the miscreant.
I would like to say today changes nothing. But that is not correct. It amplifies everything. It put nothing to bed. It did not leave the critics walking away depressed because they found out their entire world view was in shambles. Instead, because Barr seems to be the worst in providing a cover up, it has brought more attention to the details of the report. And this is coupled with the facts as the public knew them previously. Still more to assess, but this may not go the way the Trump folks think. Because Barr left a messy situation worse off, the process can go in other directions and quickly. The report is a road map for more scrutiny. It may be intuition, but game on is what keeps echoing around my head.
