Well, that’ll certainly add credibility to his defamation lawsuit against Sam Hall and the Ledger. Lawsuits originating from a jail cell are always given extra cred. as I understand.

Note - For those wondering, Hood is the only statewide Democrat I’ve ever noticed in my time in MS, apart from Governor Musgrove who lost reelection a couple years after I arrived.

First he said he was hired to get Black people to vote for Cochran at $15 per person
He’s now saying HE got paid $2000 by Johnson to lie about getting Black people to vote at $15 per person.
I just wonder at this point how credible he really is.

Johnson may be scum but the headline doesn’t quite support the story.
“We haven’t seen the source of the funds yet and I don’t know if that blogger actually has them but we’ll find out someday I suppose,” Hood said.
Hood said he didn’t know his name. When the Clarion-Ledger asked if he was referring to Johnson, Hood said he thought that was him.
Hood’s says Fielder did not name Johnson nor does he have proof of where the money he says he was paid came from.
Fielder is the one that seems to have dirty hands - he fiirst said he was told to entice Black voters and pay them off, now he’s saying HE was paid to lie.I’m far from being Team Johnson but I don’t see a smoking gun here. And if there is one, it appears it’s pointed toward Fielder.
I hope I am wrong; there’s nothing more that I’d like to see than that arrogant weasel Johnson go down. But at this point it doesn’t seem to be the case.
