Moore Says He Still Wants Fed Gig, But Will Reconsider If He Becomes A ‘Liability’

That’s the whole point: He can’t even tell assets from liabilities.

He also said that his eagerness notwithstanding, he’d be willing to drop out of the process “if something I said or something I’ve done becomes a political problem. However, I’m sure those bitches and harridans in the Dem caucus are gonna come at me hard."

Get out. Get out now. You ARE a liability. For years you demeaned and belittled women and NOW you are insisting it was all a ‘spoof’. Yeah. REAL fking funny. We (the sane ones in this country) are getting extremely tired of entitled white males ‘running’ this country.

Translation:
“Oh God, how do I get out of this fricking mess with what little is left of my tattered reputation and ability to earn a living still intact?”

Moore’s faults aside, I wish Kavanaugh had had that kind of thinking.

I wish we could reject Moore on the basis of his fringe and debunked views on economics and professed ignorance of monetary policy. It’s unfortunate that it has to be accomplished via the moral purity test that has become de rigeur.

Uh…reconsider.

Maybe he should arm-wrestle Nancy Pelosi…

She’d kick his ass…

A liability to whom? The president and the GOP, or the country? Must be the former, or he’d never have accepted consideration for the position in the first place.

Moore is fundamentally an unqualified political hack, and has never been asked to reconcile his 180 degree different economic policy views depending on whether Rs or Ds hold the WH. A gold standard ( tight money) loonie who now thinks we need large scale easing with the economy growing and at full employment with real interest rates already pretty much at zero.
Part of me longs to see him testify at a confirmation hearing. Pass the popcorn. Even Greg Mankiw has acknowledged Moore’s total lack of qualifications. He will sink of his own weight. We don’t need to even reach the “character” issues. Just make the hearings solely about macroeconomics and monetary policy. He is clueless.

Well then, sport, I would get started on that whole reconsideration thingee, because you are clearly a liability.

Barely self-aware is what passes for intellectual gigantism for all these scumbags.

He told the Journal that he “very much” regretted writing them.

Moore went on to say that he also regretted not paying his income taxes and spousal support…
(snark)

“I mean, look, I’m not complaining, that’s still a high salary,” he said. “It’s not, like, you know, a big deal. But it was certainly a consideration when my family and I sat down and really discussed it.”

“But then we realized, heck, with the access to financial information which a Federal Reserve board seat would afford me, I could easily pull in many times more than the $183,100 annual salary.”
