Discussion: Montana House Speaker Grapples With How To Fund Medicaid After ACA Repeal

About 15,000 in a state the size of Montana. A pretty significant number of them.

Here’s the problem: there are a lot of people who voted against Trump, many of whom are going to be suffering under him in other ways as well, who will become very ill or die as a result of this. They shouldn’t have to lose their lives so we can do the Schadenfreude Gloat over the people who cut off their own noses to spite their faces.

There’s a $30 billion tax on the 1% which gets repealed along with the rest of O-Care.

When I see these interviews with O-Care dependent Trump supporters postulating that they will be spared in reward for their loyalty, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

The obvious choice would be just don’'t repeal it. Somethings should not need explaining.

Don’t look to Montana for answers: it will give away free aspirin as long as the person can cover the rest with a check!

Bingo, everyone’s “covered.” CYA on steroids.

when the thugs start to whack away at everything but the mass murder budget for the cut rate merc’s ( military) and voter suppression make sure an amendment is added that prevents any state from receiving federal funding that exceeds its contribution to the federal revenues.
This should include all federal expenditures.
Military, roads, police, disaster relief, pensions, health, education etc. not one penny more then the states contribute after deducting the same percentage of revenues for those wasteful programs like a new nuclear arms race, drumpf’s upkeep, thuglican corruption and so on.
This should make the hicks happy that they no longer can suck on uncle sugars cash machine and force them to live on their own efforts.
After all these years of tripe from these hick states start making the rubes pay for themselves rather then continue to freeload off of the blue states they so roundly condemn as being unamerican.

Trump: Montana need not worry. Trumpcare will be the law on the day after The Wall is finished. Everyone will get free health care, just like in Russia and Cuba. All Free. But let me build The Wall first.

The WWC might want to rethink trading their and their children’s health in exchange for “stuff that hurts the darkies”.

Hey, let’s go retro and use a previous election’s republican idea: Barter with chickens for healthcare.

Well, the federal government provides medical care to the Indians for $4,000 a head per year. So, for 60,000 Montanans that would be $240 million. Doubling the tobacco tax would pay a third of that. So, it’s theoretically doable. How you keep the sick Trump refugees from other states off the system is the question.

One place to start would be to lobby his state’s representatives in Congress. And then he could lobby the congressional representatives of other states in his region–Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas.

That’s what they voted for. Clowns.

Amen Friend!

And it’s only Schadenfreude if you were for it in the first place. Otherwise it’s turning lemons into lemonade!!!

A good many people who are on some kind of public assistance voted for Putin’s Bitch … sow the wind, reap the Motherf*cking tornado.

When life give you lemons, give your enemies paper cuts!

Oops— the biggest users of Medicaid are not the unwed mothers of the children of inner city gangbangers, but white people who voted for Trump!

Stop pretending like you didn’t vote for Trump.

Attempting that would be asking for it.
