My guess is Trump himself. He sees absolutely nothing wrong with making deals with criminals and butchers. Treason has worked out so well for him. Why stop now? What does he have to lose?

Why were these people in communication with Moscow or the representatives of Moscow at all?
They’re clearly not just innocent. These were not part of their every day duties. They seem to have a vested interest in a line of communication with Moscow. And in my world, that only comes down to one of two things – money or espionage.
We know that there’s a lot of money here. They believe that Moscow is this giant fount of cash.
Oligarchs, Plutocrats and Kleptocrats. They are all strip mining Russian wealth while Putin protects them from detection and criminal accountability… And Trump says “I will adopt the Putin corrupt corporate model in America.”
Because helping Putin cronies is the path to getting a cabinet appointment in the Trump maladministration.
The magnitude of the fortunes to be made from working with Russia is so extraordinary, so off-the-charts, that Trump, his family, and all his associates cannot resist, even if it looks bad. They all want their share of one of the biggest pots in history, organized-crime sized profits – Russia’s resources – to make themselves ultra-mega-super-rich in a very short time. They want what Putin and his associates have: unimaginable wealth plus control of the government.
Schoen said that he asked Crowley to join his firm “only after she left the position she had been appointed to by the Trump administration.”
Spin and distortion is as natural as breathing to these fuckers - she never occupied the position, so she couldn’t leave it. See how that work? But it sounds better, doesn’t it?
Subtle these people ain’t. You’d think by now they’d know that people are watching. But either they remain in complete ignorance, or they are totally arrogant and think they can’t be touched. Wrong again!

So let’s just state clearly what this means: Crowley, a discredited putative government appointee whose only qualification for that job was her personal relationship with Trump, is now officially registered as a go-between between a Ukrainian oligarch and the Trump administration. This means that she can openly liaise between the two entities to facilitate the sale of American interests to the Ukrainian/Russian business claque, the purchase price, or part of it, being payable to Trump and his family. It beggars belief.
“Now that we’ve established what you are, dear, let’s negotiate the price.”
Let’s not brand just Crowley with this metaphor:
Crowley’s work will be done on behalf of Schoen Consulting, a firm run by former Bill Clinton pollster and Fox News analyst Doug Schoen.
Schoen is every bit the whore here, if not moreso. It’s unfortunate as hell he has any association with the Clintons.
