Discussion: Momentum Builds Behind Pitch To Rename Russell Senate Office Building After McCain

Given that Russell was a segregationist, I would support an immediate name elimination. Maybe the name could be hyphenated. One Republican and one Democrat in the interests of national unity.

Do this.

And Trump gets every toxic waste dump in the country named after him.

Even deal.

Let me refer you to Shelby.

Ya beat me to it. Iā€™m up for trading in a segregationist for a war hero, the sewage treatment plant sounds right to console Fat Nixon.

All that shit comes just from the House of Representatives. Amazing.

For what itā€™s worth, Iā€™d prefer a federal penitentiary.

11ā€“ there have been only eleven AZ Senators in its brief history. First two Senators were Dems. Five of all AZ Senators were Dems including the great Senator Carl Hayden.

Thatā€™s still too much attention and recognition for Skanky-Manslut. I could support naming a frothy septic cesspool at that facility after him. Or maybe a port-a-potty in some no-name construction site.

However, we should always remember him and never forget his ilk. We should remember him in the way we remember the scum and scourges of humankind: e.g., the genocidal leaders of Germany in World War II, the racist leaders of the National Party of South Africa that imposed apartheid; the psychopathic sexual predators and serial rapists; traitors like Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr, Aldrich Ames, Judas Iscariot and Vidkun Quisling; financial criminals like Al Capone, Bernie Madoff, Carl Icahn, Mitt Romney, Charles Ponzi. Donā€™t forget what he did and what he is doing to our country.

I was speaking of the present day contingent of House and Senate members. And i should point out that at the state level here in AZ both out state House and Senate have been in GOP hands since 1969. Nearly 50 years. Occasionally we have had dem governors.

I know that Preshitident Skanky-Manslutā€™s tone deaf tweet with hearts and prayers for the McCain family and a thoughtful exclamation point received a lot of ridicule. I also heard that Sarah Palin said some very Palinesque words in the form of sentences about Senator McCain. I am now waiting with bated breath for that sleazy turncoat Joe Lieberman to crawl out from the woodwork.

Plenty is coming from the White House. Had to do a major plant expansion in January 2017.

For the moment the choice is between Russell building and maybe McCain building. There is no possibility of simply eliminating Russellā€™s name nor replacing it with the names of one R and one D that we/you/everyone could respect.

Naming it after Jane Russell made sense since the Senate is full of a bunch of big boobs; changing it to McCain is probably fair. Ready, begin!

Whatā€™s even more pathetic is that while Trump cannot write with anything like the erudition and compassion that Obama can (few people can), he also cannot, or chooses not to, hire anyone who can. Even the tweets that clearly are not written by Trump read like they were written by a sixth-grader desperately scribbling his assignment five minutes before class starts.

Russell - McCain. Itā€™s a bra, double boob holder.

Needs some work. Any suggestions?

You could add there he supported the New Deal at the time.

In summary: supported the poor (whites), strong military and keeping the non-whites away and/or down.
Paraphrasing it differently: Basically what Trump supporters think their man stands for.

By normal standards it is a perfectly reasonable idea, but I canā€™t help thinking Schumer is trolling GOP again.
