Every time Captain Johnson stands up, he reveals both the Ferguson PD and the Governor [for the cowardly thugs they are.]

Why do I get the feeling that Johnson is going to end up as the Ferguson police chief?

No wonder Ferguson’s Police Chief Stumblebum had to undermine him. He makes sense and he tells the truth. We can’t have that.

Police Capt. Johnson, Sir…you are what I like to refer to as a real mensch. A righteous man. Stay strong.

I think Capt. Johnson would make an excellent replacement for Hannity fanboi Thomas Jackson as chief of police for Ferguson. I wonder if he’d consider it.

That would be a demotion for him as his Highway patrol is state wide.

But it could be the start of a good political career, if he’s interested.

I think he’s got that going already. You just have to be impressed with and respect him.

I get the strong feeling that Ron Johnson knows what it is to be a cop. He obviously understands human nature. From what little I have read 'n seen of him he understands that dignity and respect for the community he serves is very important o the functioning of his office. Mollify people and then they likely won’t riot. Give them some dignity and respect and they’ll return it. The FPD clearly lacked these basic policing skills. This isn’t rocket science. A lot of local PD’s could stand to learn from Ron Johnson.

I really don’t know–is Captain of the state police more prestigious than chief of your hometown? It reminds me a bit of an NFL assistant coach coming back to college to take on a head coach role, which isn’t rare at all.

In other news, doesn’t it look like the city of Ferguson has taken the police email address off its site?

Hell, that’s a basic part of getting people to quiet down even if you have no sympathy for them and don’t intend to make any real changes, and Jackson and the rest of the Ferguson PD don’t even seem to understand that.

Perfect word for him. The soul of decency.

He’s a captain in the highway patrol, not the commanding officer of it. I’m not at all sure being Chief in his hometown would be a “demotion.”

“My heart goes out to you, and I say that I’m sorry. And I wear this uniform, and I should stand up here and say that I’m sorry,” Johnson began in his speech at the Greater Grace Church."

Stop, frisk and video that from a Man of The People.

How/why is Governor Nixon a cowardly thug?

Someone like him should be, but until the local politics gets straightened around, it won’t happen.

I’m sure Captain Johnson gets paid more and has better benefits, as well as “working conditions” as a state trooper.

He makes more money then the Ferguson chief, I am from Missouri, I would vote him for Governor.

Why shouldn’t he stay in this field where he’s doing the most good and setting an example for others?

This is what people need to see.
