Hawley’s out-of-state [DC] political consultants [Timmy Teepell, a partner with OnMessage, and Gail Gitcho, president of First Tuesday] gave direct guidance and tasks to his taxpayer-funded staff, and followed up to ensure the tasks were completed, according to emails, text messages and other records obtained by The Kansas City Star.
And they kept this up for two whole years without anyone saying a word about it.
NB: OnMessage and First Tuesday share an address in Annapolis.
Timing is everything!
Republicans committing fraud to win elections is like Hamas launching rockets into Israel… After a while, it’s just not news anymore.
Sometimes you have to remember Trump is symptom more than cause. This is a decadent, corrupt party to the core.
The Republican Party is a lawless organization that ought to be charged under RICO at this point. It’s no longer isolated examples of wrongdoing, but what seems to be a coordinated strategy. Especially when we see the anti-democratic power plays in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
The only thing that seems surprising here to me is that the person launching a probe against the Republican is another Republican, unless this is meant to be a Kavanaugh-like probe.
Agreed. Trump’s biggest contribution has been giving them license to practice their brand of politics in plain view. The only transparency we will get from this administration.
Power plays that will almost surely be endorsed by the GOP dominated judiciary as being within the constitutional authority of the legislative branch. The court will decline, a la CJ Roberts, to comment on the merits of the legislative actions because “separation of powers.”
The Senator-Elect does an admirable job of aping Kushner’s haughty, empty countenance.
So is it also possible this GOPer used crooked and cheating ways to win a seat in the Senate too? This seems to be what the lying and cheating ways of the entire GOP!
Boy, it sure is great that the GOP SOS waited until right after the election to announce an investigation of the GOP candidate for improper actions in connection with . . . the election. You know , so as not to influence . . . um, the election. Yeah, seems totally legit.
Considering the ads he ran on health care it looks like the senator elect had some pre-existing conditions, just not health related.
Whats the deal with this batch of republicans, there are several that already in trouble before even taking office…
The NRA also donated the most money to his campaign.
Illegal coordination using illegal Russian donations laundered through the NRA. The mind boggles.
Yup. No doubt the MO 'pub SoS’s investigation of MO 'pub AG cum US Sen will produce a report as valid, accurate and complete as any Nunes Brief™

The Republican Party should be declared a criminal organization. This won’t happen in the present circumstances, of course. Perhaps later generations will be treated to the resurrection of something similar to the House Un-American Activities Committee opening its questioning with “Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Republican Party?”
