Having lived in the Ozarks, I feel it safe to say: “I know Misery Missouri.” The place is populated by 60% unrepentant fundamentalist dumbfucks, 20% people that keep quiet about everything, and a mix of 15% live-and-let-lives and 5% “others.”
Springfieldians, for example, take great pride in the fact that there are more Chinese restaurants there per capita than in China. They fail to mention that they all serve food only a Sprinfieldian would “enjoy.”
