Remind me of the day of Clinton’s inauguration when a group of Congressional Republicans met and plotted to make Clinton a one term President? I don’t think that ever happened. If you have a problem with the Nation of Islam and their radio show, how many cable TV Christian shows air each week, many of them proclaiming that Obama is a messenger from the devil or something equally absurd? By the way, Clarence Thomas, about the most stupid Supreme Court Justice ever to serve, I’ll leave it up to history to judge if he actually is America’s Uncle Thom… he is a real “Thomas”, though.

I have to say there is not much I disagree with this man on. He may have gone over the top in calling Thomas an Uncle Tom. If he would have said Thomas is not a friend to AAs than it would have sounded better.

Blacks historically reserved the right to designate other blacks who work for the “Man” against the “hands” on the plantation as Uncle Toms.

I would go so far as designating Senator Tim Scott of SC and Clarence, as good examples of Uncle Toms. Ward Connerly, Armstrong Williams, Clarence Pendleton, Ben Carson and Herman Cain are a few others.

Well tell me this, who is right. Rep. Bernie Thompson, who said “Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom.” Or, George H.W. Bush, who said, “Clarence Thomas is the most qualified justice in America to sit on the Supreme Court,” when he appointed him following the retirement of Thurgood Marshall. As I recall, the media never questioned Mr. Bush on his comment.

he is spot on, and who cares what the right thinks. Uncle Tom is a joke for staying silent during court cases. We need to end lifetime appointments to the Judicial Branch. Most of the right wing justices are out of touch with reality anyway
