Since Castile was from St. Louis there has been a lot of interest in this case. One posting I saw on FB was that Castile was always getting pulled over by police, and had been pulled over at least 30-40 times over the years, so why was this one deadly?
As for the officer seeing the gun I’m not really buying it since Castile told him he had a gun. I’m sure the officer asked to see his DL and Castile was trying to comply. And what is suppose to happen when a police officer pulls you over, you tell him you have a gun, and the police doesn’t give you clear instructions on what order of event he wants to happen?
Also can we just stop and contemplate how little time 71 seconds is?
Just another toll of that bell.
Based on yet another true story.
Yanez clearly should never have been hired as a police officer. And yes, this is about racism. Yanez worried about his wife and daughter at home, as he killed Castile, whose girlfriend sat beside him and daughter sat in the back seat. Castile was respectful, polite and a roll model to those young students in the school where he worked. Castile was clearly profiled as a driver from the time he first got his license, 45 tickets for this young man. This is a tragedy for the nation. It’s a tragedy.
