You wanna know why? It’s because America was great because we had land, lots of land, under starry skies above. Back in the day every family encouraged that one oddball or two to go west. Well they did, and then they said "Well we can’t settle on the coast because that’s where the ‘elites’ staked their claim, so high deserts is was. Any high desert, in any western state would do.
And that’s why the oddest people live out west.

This is hilarious. Can’t tell the difference between Sicilian first names and Spanish ones, and where the prefix Don goes in both languages. Probably got the De Grande from Starbucks.
I cannot really speak about it, but I once represented a party in a civil litigation started by a Sovereign Citizen militia type in LI NY who refused to produce a driver’s license during a traffic stop. Because they do not recognize the State’s authority to require them to have a driver’s license. Ended up in Federal Court. After the pretrial conference, which was a Zoo, the militia members in the hallway nodded to me and warned me that everything should be ok as long as I fought clean in the litigation. My wife got a real kick out of that story at dinner that night.

Conning survivalist idiots and credulous militia types must be pretty easy. There must be big bucks in reinforcing their paranoid fears that the government is about to confiscate their guns, steal their land and give it all to Mexican immigrants. Unsurprisingly, these people fit the same gullible, extremist profile of religious people. It’s also no surprise that religious people fit so easily into the GOP and vice-versa…a confederacy of dunces to be sure.
