“We simply have to move past this era of political correctness and give our law enforcement community all across this country the tools that they need to be able to do everything in their power, to prevent what happened in Minnesota and in New Jersey and New York from happening on our shores,” he said.
Uh-huh, couple brown guys injure a bunch of people, but don’t kill anyone one and it is “Oh My God, we have to do anything in our power to stop this!” Some white guy shoots and kill a dozen people and it is all “Prayers and condolences are all we can do, so sad.”
If Donald Trump is the Richard Nixon of 2016, Mike Pence is the Spiro Agnew of this election.
Then again, in the 21st century, our Congress and most of the press don’t really do their jobs. If Trump and Pence are elected, they will do more damage to our country in four years than George W. and Cheney did in eight years — and it won’t be pretty.
From the party that invented outrage politics, the original hostage takers and extortionists, we are outraged and if you don’t stop we’ll have to break something that is working.
Depends on your definition of “normal.” The dismissal of basic rights enshrined in our Constitution and suggesting that they should be ignored or trampled on whenever convenient is pretty much the entirety of the Bush/Cheney Administration. Not to mention the Nixon Administration.
Calling them “political correctness” is a little bit new, I suppose.
