I think we should still talk about what Mika said even when she has apologized. Mika kept talking about Hillary’s e-mails even when Hillary explained what happened. Mika kept saying she had more questions to Hillary, but never sent those questions to Hillary so she could answer them. So, why accept her statement. I want to know why this phrase was in her mind right after her honeymoon.
I wish that Mika would have included WHY it’s such an offensive slur coming from a straight white woman – so maybe some of the commenters on this board might gain a little understanding and quit using the pejorative.
And I wish that @TPM would quit repeating it in telling the apology story so that the echo keeps going…

I believe mike_in_houston was intentionally using a specific symmetry to Brzezinski’s comment in order to to drive home to people how shitty it feels to have your sexuality be casually disparaged as disgusting simply because it’s a convenient insult for unrelated behavior.

Really, that is really a stretch. Words have meaning as Mika knows, you don’t have to go so far from the usually definition of the words to get his/her message of hate.
Or an enthusiastic collaborator, or an amoral thug — depending on which he is.
Actually, I’m starting to warm up to butt boy. It fits the definition–submissive spineless amoral thuggish wimp–and is a much more compact phrase that quickly gets the point across in an unapologetic way. Perhaps butt person would be more PC.
