Discussion for article #244843
No, Governor Snyder, what is unforgivable is the ongoing politicization of poverty, which is what led you and your staff to think that no one would care about lead infused water so long as only poor people had to drink it.
Karen Weaver just thinks she is mayor of Flint. The Mayor of Flint, or any other town in Michigan, is whoever Rick Snyder says. Thatās because " His office is shielded from public record requests under state law." Somebody needs to report the real story, here. I really donāt understand how Snyder has managed to steal the State.
How can what happened in Flint be a ānatural disaster?ā There were no uncontrollable events that caused the poisoning of the Flint water supply. It was caused purely by the Pubbies in charge in Michigan. Well, the Michigan Pubbies will deny they caused the problem because all the records of what happened are fake, right Pubbies?
Considering his administration caused it and tried to ignore it by minimizing blood results in children and water tests by experts, it might be a good idea to keep quiet. He doesnāt stand a chance ducking culpability in this case. they knew too long ago there was a serious problem and hoped it would go away. I guess he can blame politicians (of which he is one) and/or the media. Fortunately he canāt un-ring a bell.
Hey, Rick, the truth hurts
Hereās a thought. Maybe Governor Snyder could appoint an Emergency Manager to oversee the crisis.
Republicans blamed the Democratic governor of Louisiana and Democratic mayor of New Orleans for the Katrina aftermath. Iām sure theyāll remain consistent here and do the same for the Republican governor of Michigan and Republican-appointed emergency manager of Flint.
"Politicizing the issue doesnāt help matters. "
I couldāve told you that when you politicized the Flint water supply in the first place, champ.
Snyder told The Detroit News. "And what I would say is: Politicizing the issue doesnāt help matters.
Fuck you, it became a political issue as soon as you replaced representative government in Flint with a state appointed dictator you anti-democratic piece of shit.
Accountability! What Republicans think they should be exempt from, and everyone else needs to have.
Snyder hears the indictments roaring at his back.
Heckā¦a third of them blame Obama haha. Sometimes itās hard to figure out whether they believe things because theyāre just horribly retarded or if itās somewhat on purpose and in service to their ideological predispositions.
Also too, Iām hearing an undercurrent of āsend us a billion federal dollars so I can misuse it to balance the budget while pretending to use it to fix this problemā¦then I can claim Iām a magic budget gnome while running for POTUS.ā Anyone up on where Michiganās budget stands in terms of deficits, etc.?
What the blazes is politics for, then? If, as here, a person in elective office totally and intentionally botches something, thatās exactly the time to call him to account ā¦ which is āpolitics.ā Or should be, anyway.
In other words, you bought Flint and you own it. Clearly, he thinks responsibility is only for the little people.
This coming from a member of the party that continues to drag those 4 dead bodies in Benghazi through the mud for nothing but political reasons.
Michigan Guv Slams Hillary Clinton For āPoliticizingā Flint Water Crisis.
This is rich coming from the party that has politicized the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi for many years.
āAnd what I would say is: Politicizing the issue doesnāt help mattersāā¦//
Iām sure the man that just had his political career destroyed by the āmattersā did say that. The point in the politics is to point out how and who made it happenā¦so it wonāt happen again. If Snyder was on the other side of this issue you can bet āpoliticizingā it would be an all day long affair. He did it. He laid down the policies that led to it. Heās a politician. You have to āpoliticizeā it.
Heās hoarded money so he can claim to budget while letting the state deteriorate. The Detroit Schools are about to go bankrupt and stick Michigan with millions in cost whereas this could be avoided if he spent some of the money. Heās unwilling to fight with our gerrymandered Legislature but hopes to claim credit for being a āmoderateā by protesting weakly.
