Discussion: Michigan Airport Evacuated After Police Officer Injured

Of course itā€™s being described as ā€œterrorismā€. Hereā€™s why: the alleged attacker is named ā€œAmor Ftouhiā€.

Had he been Bob Oā€™Reilly, yelling ā€œJesus Christ is our savior, and you who do not recognize that should dieā€, heā€™d just be a lone-wolf, mentally disturbed individual.

Funny, that.

The story is fishier than a can of bad tuna fish.

edit: The MI republican attorney general is trying to ride into the governorā€™s mansion next year based on the water scandal in Flint.

So letā€™s have a little ā€œterrorist attackā€ involving a poor police officer. Uh huh.

Who me, cynical?

Youā€™re damned right.

Violent little state you got there.

A Republican governor, Iā€™ll bet.

And to think rightwingers want it to be easier for people like this to have automatic weapons in public places. You know, to be the ā€˜good guy with a gunā€™. Oh thatā€™s right, only upstanding white people with names like Joe Jones would be allowed to have those weapons because white people never go off half-cocked and murderous.

Ftouhi asked an officer who subdued him why he didnā€™t kill him.

Heā€™s not black.

I really donā€™t see the benefit of branding this kind of lowlife crime as ā€œterrorism.ā€ It elevates the piece of garbage who committed it to a status he doesnā€™t deserve, but probably aspires to. I think itā€™s also telling that the acts of terrorism we see today are on this level.

Crazy guy with a knife. Good thing those terrorists are primitive and donā€™t know about gunpowder.

It wasnā€™t terrorism - he was trying to commit suicide-by-cop and thought this was the easiest way to provoke it.
