I did not read that Fisher was her roommate in the facility. Iām guessing if he was, that would be a good thing for the Republicans to attack. Not many people would vote for a candidate in hospice care.

Rather, it says that his 91-year-old mother is in a hospice facility (do you even understand what that means?) and that he obtained a phone, in his name, for his motherās use.
