Trump has not offered condolences or aid to Mexico in the wake of the country’s two natural disasters

They SHOULD take care of their own citizens…of course, the RW will flip their lids and make this some kind of ‘thing’…totally ‘misremembering’ that we battened down the borders and never acknowledged Mexico’s OFFER of help. Yep.
Sociopaths have no sympathy and/or empathy.
He cannot stand that Mexico has the grace and dignity to offer to help in spite of political differences. More class than Donnie will ever have.
And I do NOT blame them one iota for retracting after Donnie’s disgraceful behavior – particularly now that they have their own horrible catastrophe to cope with.
Who can blame them?
And the international lack of concern for the U.S. after Harvey and Irma sends the clearest message about how the world views the Trump* Regime.
Hell, Trump barely offered condolences to America after the two hurricanes.
While there hasn’t been official concern expressed at the national level due to Trump, I can relay that here on the ground in Houston the response has been more people to people. Houston has 41 consulates – #5 after DC, NY, LA & Chicago – that are very active. The Dutch have offered to bring in teams of engineers to assist with flood mitigation design.
Anyone care to bet how long before Trump tweets something like:
‘Mexicans not only rapists, but Indian-givers also. Bad hombres. Sad’
Or “They’re supposed to be building the wall not rebuilding after a quake”

Has there been any reaction to the Dutch offer? Iirc they are a lot about defense in depth and cooperative decisions about what gets built where. Which might not fit so well with the texas laissez-faire ethos.
Go to wingnut sites and they approve Trump’s behavior, that’s what “America First” means to them.
Chiselin’ Trump offered his congratulations to Mexico and told them to “have a good time.”
Damn there goes the money to pay for the wall. 
I thought he told Houston to have a good time. But same difference. He’s an idiot.
Trump found a well of sympathy and support for former sheriff Arpaio.
He did. It’s his go-to line to all victims of pain and suffering.
It’s laissez-faire until half your city is flooded… and I think we might actually be at a tipping point with some of our local politicians as people are looking for big ideas not the small-ball anti-government crap that we usually get.
I would think so considering Harris Co - which is ground zero for the oil and gas bidness went totally blue last November.
