Mr. Pena Pendejo has approximately the mental acuity of George Armstrong Bush.

Its unbelievable that anybody in his position would have a meeting with Trump without multiple cameras rolling, as well as eyewitnesses. If he did, he’s a pathetic stooge who deserved to get played.

How stupid is HO? Did he not get that Pena would use this trip to try to salvage his own situation in Mexico? They hate HO, they don’t care for Pena so of course Pena is going to torch HO.

Trump’s Razor strikes again. I cannot believe how fucking stupid HO and everybody around him are.

Wait…but that would mean…Trump…LIED? I cant’t believe it. That’s so unlike him.

And thrown out of office at the “earliest inconvenience.”

Are you saying Drumpf is a “real neger”?

Sure, it’s good if he can prove it, but either way, Trump is covered in shit.
Getting into a “he said, ho said” dispute over an important policy point is a big diplomatic failure.

Well played, sir!

I am a firm believer in the fundamental tenets of the Republican Party: individual freedom, small government, local control of issues, free speech, strong national defense and the broad vision that America is an exceptional country that gives exceptional opportunities to everyone.

I take my civic responsibilities very seriously. None more so than the solemn duty to elect the president of our country. Donald Trump is neither representative of our values nor qualified to lead the nation.

Of all the elections in which I have participated, none has become more transcendental to the definition of “We the people” and the very nature of our democracy than the one we face today."

Thanks for that.

Other than Mr. Fernandez’s exhortation to go solid repugnican down-ballot, that is.

diplomatically yes, but since when does that hurt Trump, but politically if they have audio of him playing nice and it shows him lying his ass off, it would be pretty damming.

Depends if they were not stupid enough to not record it.

And there you have it folks – Pena and Trump were made for each other. Both talk tough to friendly audiences and at a safe distance, but get all mushy when you put them in the same room. Pretty much the exact opposite of responsible, steadfast leadership.

How private could it have been? There had to be translators in the room. And no doubt servants and staff as well.

His administration has already stated they have multiple witnesses to the conversation.

But even putting that aside, this is the key element for me.

Pena Nieto IS a leader of a country. As such, he engages in diplomatic conversations on a pretty regular basis. There is no way that he is going to trash his reputation, which is absolutely vital to having those conversations and negotiations, to call a presidential nominee from the US a liar…unless the nominee IS a liar. And everyone knows…Trump has a long history of lying.

I just don’t get people bending themselves into pretzel shapes to try and give Trump the benefit of a doubt on this one.

Mr. Pena Pendejo is such a squish he makes Tony Blair look like bleeping Churchill.

And here’s a member of that tribe demonstrating how Trump’s name is indicated in the signed version of the tribe’s language:

I’m not sure it really matters. The takeaway is that Donald Trump can’t stop himself from lying or have a meeting with another world leader without turning it into a shit show.

When this visit was announced, I was uneasy, thinking that his new team had figured out a formula for pivoting him away from his xenophobic/demagogic positions.

I feel a lot better now.

As I understand it Pena Nieto is not particularly conversant or comfortable using English. We know that our Buffoon-in-Chief would not soil his vocal chords using them to speak Spanish. Ergo it may be that trump misunderestimated our neighbor to the south and interpreted his Spanish to mean the price of the wall was set in concrete. Therefore no negotiation was necessary “at this time”. What Mr Pena Nieto really said went right over trumps fur covered head.
Look at the image of trump’s hand in the air near Pena Nieto’s back. It isn’t the confident dominant touch of a winning deal maker. Pena Nieto would be a fool if he had not recorded this meeting. I think he did record it.
