‘Lecherous And Worthless’
Ya that’s good
I’ll go with that .
Thanks MacDonald, but er… um…
You just noticed?
What took so fucking long?
Sheesh
Sorry to break it to you, Rev., but you’re an outlier amongst your religious right brethren.
I, for one, positively look forward to holiday celebrations now that sanctimonious relatives will forever be unable to throw stones at Democrats, in general, and Clintons, in particular. A simple “remind me, who’d you vote for?” should be enough to quiet the pharisaic tendencies…
“If Mr. Trump isn’t seeking our counsel now—1) to be repentant 2) on how to portray that repentance, then the idea of a faith council (which has deteriorated into influence brokering anyway) is really kind of a joke right?” MacDonald wrote.
JFC, you think?
Sorry, Rev! your brethren have no desire to hold Republican candidates accountable - that is reserved for Democrats, only. Don’t worry: Wandering hands Trumpf will get round to feeling another woman eventually. He can’t help himself.
Donald, you’re a piece of shit, and you’ve demonstrated repeatedly you’re a piece of shit – so I’M WARNING YOU, if I see ONE MORE EXAMPLE of you being a piece of shit, I’m not going to support you anymore!!
Truly courageous there, “reverend”.
Himmler brought a big box of doughnuts to the concentration camp commissary every morning. It made everyone forgive and forget the previous 24 hours atrocities.
EXACTLY! This “christain” is still supporting him, still gonna sit on his “christain” lobbying board, didn’t have a problem with the hundreds of outrageous statements and actions that preceded the release that tape but he’s warning HO now!
Fucking hypocrite.
(which has deteriorated into influence brokering anyway)
This is a pretty interesting statement. I’d love for the good pastor to expand on it at length.
Another turd indignantly peeks his head out of the septic tank, as if it smelled like roses in there until The Rump did his latest cannonball. If ever a group of people already had their reward in full, for their portrayals of repentence as distinct from the real thing, it would have to be The Rump and his crew of deplorable Christian sellouts.
What took so fucking long?
It became public?
It’s all hollow jillow jabber Rev, unless you unendorse him.
So Trump is “On notice”? What’s that, some kind of “Double Secret Probation”?
Despite this caustic language, MacDonald did not abandon support for Trump outright. Instead, he said he’s putting the campaign “on notice” pending the release of another damning tape and will no longer speak out on Trump’s behalf without a “change of heart and direction.”
I know I’m piling on and this speaks for itself. The only thing worth adding is that there seems to be, from the bottom to the top of Trumpworld’s more aware hangers-on, an understanding that the probability is extremely high we’ll see some new revelation that makes the whole thing collapse around their ears. From Kellyanne’s “Unless…” to this guy, who clearly doesn’t want to walk away from all those sweet, sweet website clicks and new e-mail addresses to dive for dollars in, they’re still working it. But they know or strongly suspect the gold rush will be over soon wings are coming off, and they’re strapping on their lifejackets parachutes. (Sorry for the mixed metaphor.)
This. It wasnt a bridge too far for Donald to call his daughter a nice piece of ass, or to appear in Playboy videos, or to insult women based on their looks or any of a hundred other bizzaro world statements. And even now they aren’t abandoning him, just distancing a little. “I’m warning you Donald! One more time and that’s it! I mean this time! No really! Stop it Donald! I mean it!” Pathetic.
Look at the Dem ticket. Kaine and Clinton have fairly significant Christian backgrounds, and both have seen politics as an instrument to do good works for those who are vulnerable. Kaine helped a Jesuit mission for one year (while Trump was having a wild, profligate time at Studio 54, most likely) and HRC has cited her Methodist background as among the reasons she wants to help the poor.
Who are these hypocrites who back Trump, a man who has “faith” in only one thing, himself? Dems haven’t worn God or Jesus on their sleeve, but they’re closer to the principles that people of faith want, no doubt about that.
Yeah but, you know Dems are baby killers and they like Teh Gays. Can’t have that now, can we?

I’m not as important as I thought I was going to be!

Wow, talk about the courage of your convictions. No wonder this guy’s a leading figure in the evangelical movement.
Best part is that he explicitly put in the religious clean slate wiping mechanism right there in his statement. The one they’d use to “forgive” even Satan from his sins:
“If Mr. Trump isn’t seeking our counsel now—1) to be repentant 2) on how to portray that repentance, then the idea of a faith council (which has deteriorated into influence brokering anyway) is really kind of a joke right?” MacDonald wrote.
That’s right folks. ALL IS WELL as long as Trump just says “I may be a monster, but it’s ok because I’m one of you! I love Jesus!”.
And THAT is reason #533 of why I think organized religion is a huge load of bullsh*t.
Killed a few people? All good! Raped some women and/or men? It’s forgiven! Molested little kids and/or siblings? It’s all part of God’s plan! You’ve done much, much worse? We understand! You’re actually 130 year old zombie Hitler plotting your return to reign over a post-apocalyptic world? It’s all good as long as you accept our God! They’d excuse ANYTHING as long as the person said “I’ve asked for the lord’s forgiveness… and he replied that all is forgiven!”
