Thankfully, Drumpf will be there soon enough to advocate for more guns.
From the Guardian: Police are also investigating reports the suspect shouted âBritain Firstâ, a possible reference to the far-right political party, as he launched the attack, Vikram Dodd, Nazia Parveen and Rob Booth report.
Graeme Howard, 38, who lives in nearby Bond Street, told the Guardian he heard the man shout âBritain Firstâ before the shooting and during the arrest.
Political assassinations in the First WorldâŠI thought we were beyond this shit.
Well, the Swedish Foreign Minister (US: Secretary of State) Anna Lindh was stabbed and killed on Sep. 11, 2003
I sure hope the Secret Service personel are on their toesâŠ
whatâs the over/under on how soon the NRA opens an office and starts advocating?
NRA: Only if she was carrying assault rifle at the time, this would have never happened.
One redeeming feature with Nigel Farage: he drinks ! (a lot ! ) Financial Times had a âLunch Withâ interview, which carefully tallied the numerous drinks they got.
Nigel the First, Lord of the Pints.
âI am what I am,â says the Ukip leader over six pints, a bottle of wine and two glasses of port
â Financial Times sub-hed
Wow. Thatâs pretty epic. And thatâs just lunch! I wonder what Nigel does for cocktail hour?
Whose roots are neo-facism, anti-abortion and Ulster Unionist militancy, and an association with Stormfront.
The perpetrator is in custody (a 52 year man), so I think we will get a full profile of him soonâŠ
A tragic event, yet an ominous sign of the state of political discourse among Western democracies.
In the U.S., this is what conservatives call a â2nd Amendment remedyâ.
That is probably the ugliest tie I have ever seen.
The Radical Right-Wingâs War on Women continues in Britain too.
This is so tragic. She was well-liked and a respected member of Parliament and had two children.
The guy is a nut. He was actually kicking her after he shot her!!!
Britain First.
Grrrrrrr.
I am curious to know what the psychosocial and political factors here were. Was this gruesome terrorist act motivated by radical sunni islamism? ISIS has been recommending wanton, lone wolf killings that have inspired sunni muslim jihadi terrorists in many non-sunni countries including the UK. Was this right-wing conservative extremism? Was this motivated by the Brexit? Was mental illness a factor?
And yet there are still 37% of our voting population that supports hatred, bile, vitriol and demagoguery. This man was a hateful nut-job, but he was an individual and I guarantee you reviled universally in UK, even by the UKIP.
But here in the good 'ol USA we put people like him up to be our leader.
It is truly sad what happened, I watched her maiden speech in parliament. Heartbreaking.
Also:
There are politicians everywhere who arenât worth beans and do little or no good in bettering the lives of their constituents.
Then you have someone like Jo Cox, who stood out among the rest in helping people, had so much to offer and many more years to do it.
Sigh.
May she rest in peace, and may the life she led and the work she did inspire others to do the same.
