I know, I know, considering where she came from I am sure she was pushed to make the best of her situation.Life in Slovenia for a nearly 50 year old woman is no piece of cake and there is no end to it unless you are landed gentry and even then women are of little value…She has a lot to learn and good mentors are hard to find in Trump’s world.

Yeah; I can no longer watch California Suite the same way, either. And I have very mixed feelings about Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion as well. Part of me wants to feel nostalgic about it, and part of me simply cannot. And that makes me sad.

The husband of this woman wears 50 yards of Italian wool everywhere he goes, Easter egg rolls on the WH lawn, strolling around anywhere, and in order to hide his girth and always a too long usually red tie fastened with Scotch tape. It’s time for more mocking of that.

Um, I aim for equal opportunity critiques of clothing for our male politicians and business executives…and I can be as harsh on them as people are on women.
I generally don’t notice what average people wear or think they look fine and normal…but since prominent women are frequently judged by what they look like, what they wear, I decided to give equal opportunity attention to prominent men.

Melania can wear whatever she wants…I don’t get it in the context of First lady or of trying to be a fashion plate. I hope she is solely doing it for herself if she is choosing this hat or the shoulder coats, etc…they are sending a signal that she isn’t interested in connecting w/ anyone and is simply interested in posing (which is also what Ivanka does…play photo shoot). Which could be self protective or self involved.

It seems that she has surrounded herself w/ decorators and stylists who are doing their own thing…(the easter and christmas decorations were from some demented interior designer who seemed to be decorating a Suzanne Bartsch party rather than the WH)…Herve is trying to launch his own line. He has his own agenda and it isn’t making Melania look great as a first lady. She comes across as a plaster mannequin.
It’s too bad that she doesn’t have someone who can work w/ her to find a style that is “her” and also helps form an image of her as a first lady who is even trying to be slightly engaged w/ what she is doing. She could have her own identity that is separate from her disgusting fat f*** husband. It seems like lack of imagination on the part of her or her designers’ or crossed agendas.

If she is going to try to leave DT (and I don’t know if she can b/c of Barron’s issues) then it would be smarter for her to try to win the sympathy of the American people…I hate that she participated in birtherism and that she also has criticized immigrants when she herself has a super sketchy immigration story herself…
She could be the champion of immigrants’ rights.
She could be the champion of parents of special needs children.
She could be the champion of domestic abuse victims.
Etc…

But she is not. She’s choosing to be a mannequin.
