I think “first lady” is the euphemism.
MailOnline has a perfect defense. President trump says it is OK to misstate facts (like his electoral college margin, for instance) because someone told him that, or he read it online so it must be true. In a world of alternate facts, how can anything be slander? It might be true; I thought it was true; someone told me it was true; I read it on-line.
It is most likely that the suit was filed by MISTER Trump on behalf of his wife who can now fulfill her rightful place in the Trump Organization. Wonder why it took weeks to amend the suit.
“The first lady has no intention of using her position for profit and will not do so. It is not a possibility. Any statements to the contrary are being misinterpreted,” he said at the time.
All of that may be true. The question, however, is this: Is her husband interested in using her position for profit?
I think we all know the answer to that one.

Melania has largely kept out of the spotlight and hasn’t yet done anything to warrant impolite comments. That time may come, but why not pick on her husband instead?

If that is true, then it appears that the Trump’s were trying to play Thiel to Gawker. Threaten such a large amount of money based on a claim of YUGE loss of potential revenue to wreak havoc on the finances of the publication - and serve as a warning against other outlets. Bullying is what Trump does. Lawsuits are also what Trump does.
The entire Trump clan are rank opportunists. It’s certainly getting harder for them to sue people while they pretend they aren’t.
Assuming she wasn’t a hooker, that doesn’t mean she’s not a whore.
Can she legally do this? Is not her lack of First Lady Brand the bedrock of her suit?
The initial suit is still court record, and does not disappear…
So…don’t listen to what we said THEN; don’t read the law suit; just listen to what we say NOW and believe…it is all your fault anyway. We’re just trying to make some money here…
