Discussion for article #228665
āMy message is freedom,ā Patterson told TPM in an interview on Thursday, vowing to impose a two-term limit on himself if elected ā āand thatās if my wife lets me run for a second term. She may not.ā
Fweeeedom!
Libertarianās are greatā¦in theory.
In practice? Theyāre Teabagger-Lite and they support the GOP and thereby the Right Wing.assholes whoāve spent the last 6 1/2 years dragging down the country because they didnāt win the White Hose.
Get my Vote or my Money?
Nope.
Never forget how McConnell and the other DCers stole this election from the rightful winner Matt Bevināor was it Chris McDaniel, I have trouble lately keeping things straight in my elderly white mind. A vote for McConnell is a vote for Obama! Same same. Vote for wasshisname! Oh, Patterson! May the Tea Party flag wave over the Capitol! FrEeDoM!!! LiBeRtY!!! TedCruz#1!!!
āā¦But we have to have something set up to assist themā¦ā
We do. Itās called Obamacare, and itās working very well in Kentucky.
But Libertarians will tell you that private charities are much more efficient at taking care of the needy. Just look at how Joel and ViĀ¢toria O$teen tend to the poorā¦
Sir, OBAMACARE works in your state and you know it, which also makes you a REPUBLICAN, just like Rand Paul.
Alternate headline: Control of the Senate Could Change With This One Weird Trick
"As a libertarian police officer, I am against using taxpayer dollars to fund government services. Public services like law enforcement and fire protection are a drain on the citizenry and represent tyranny and a nanny state. And⦠wait, Iām paid by who? DāOH!
Um. FREEDOM!"
Yep, someone needs to get on those republican message boards and promote this guy over McConnell, stat!
Canadian health care and American Social Security both get delivered for 0.5% in operating overhead. Thatās because the governments run them, and government is good and efficient at running databases and cutting cheques.
Obamneycare, by contrast ālimitsā overhead to 25% add-on, thatās 20% of the whole in overhead. Thatās because itās run by private insurance companies, and private insurance companies are good at flying executive jets, buying golf club memberships, and paying their shareholders.
The good news is that because it was done by Democrats, thereās a 25% limit. This is the Republicansā health care payment plan, but if theyād done it the rate would have been uncapped, and the taxpayer would have had to pay the previous āfree marketā rate, 50% add-on, or a third of the whole.

Republicans are unhappy with Mitchās āplanā to keep Obama from winning a second term . . . . .
āIām in it to win.ā
Thatās the spirit. You go, guy.
Bitch trying to steal his freedom!
The republi-canāts are in āfull-fear-modeā; theyāve become Henny-Penny & Chicken-Liddle. Wait till they find out how heavy the sky really is with all the carbon in it ⦠that theyāve been denying is there for the last 20 years!
Yeah, keeping Obama from winning a second term didnāt work out too well. Iām pretty confident, however, that Republicans will be more successful in keeping Obama from winning a third term. Practice makes perfect, you know.
If this guy is really drawing 5 times more support from Rs than from Ds, the Ds need to figure out a way to get this guy some money, fast.
Libertarian Seeking Incentive For Leaning Left Or Right
I love that phrase ālibertarian leaningsā. If a libertarian leans heās gonna fall bcoz there aināt nobody gonna catch him.
