Doesn’t a Flood hiring foretell a reign of just forty days and nights?
Doesn’t matter what talent Donnie lines up. He’ll never be able to keep his pie-hole shut. That, and he’ll always think he’s smarter than his lawyers.
That’s a losing combination.
Has Flood actually confirmed that he is joining Team Dotard? I don’t trust the White House as far as I can throw it.
Being the optimist that I am, my initial hope upon hearing this news was that Flood had taken on this role with a view to at last moderating, if not outright sabotaging Mr. Trump’s attempts to undermine or otherwise counter the investigation.
While I recognize that that might be difficult for a good attorney to justify, I was still hopeful.
Those hopes were dashed by the record of cases he has undertaken as outlined in this article.
Fortunately he has a fool for a client (with reference to either Trump of the White House - whichever he ultimately ends up working for) so I expect that if he hopes to be effective he will be sabotaged by his client.

It does seem surprising that an evident non-clown would sign up. But you can’t rule out a narrow victory of overweening confidence (OK, hubris) over the bloody obvious handicaps here.
“Flood is the latest attorney who will try wrangling President Trump, a notoriously difficult client to work for.”
I’m already looking forward to his replacement.
All concordant with Giuliani’s declaration that ‘he’ would end it in 2-3 weeks.
I’m a little shocked that a lawyer with Flood’s credentials was willing to sign on, but I note, from the post:
He will be representing the office of the President, not Trump personally.
I wonder how long, though, this one will last.
Shall we start a pool guessing how long he will stay on the team?
In Trump’s mind, everyone works for him. This statement is meaningless.
So, is this hiring finalized?
And have they checked to see if Trump knows the difference?
Beat me to it… I haven’t seen it confirmed yet.
At least there won’t be an awkward phase where his soul adjusts to working for scum. I mean that’s good, right?
Emmett Flood will soon become Emmett Fled.
In terms of legal representation, what is the difference between the office and the man? (I mean, apart from the obvious difference between a venerated Constitutional entity and a rageaholic howler monkey).
Lawyers, Guns and Money: How a Republic Dies.
Did Flood accept the job conditional on his being able to affix a muzzle to Donnie whenever necessary? If not, shall we start an office pool on how long Emmet lasts?
