Just try to find decent chocolate chip ice cream… not mint chip or chocolate/chocolate chip or cookies and cream. Just vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate chips in it. Albertson’s told me it was and exotic flavor… Haagen daz is the best. Strangely after months of searching I found some. I was blown away because Target would be the last place I would expect to buy groceries… I will take pleasure informing Albertson’s that they’ve been shown up.

Heh, I think that describes Hulu TV also. Just when things get interesting it fails and says your wifi is down (all while you are fooling around on TPM at that very moment). Here I am describing my own situation right now.

Hopefully folks asking why the shelf is bare will indicate to the vendor that more should be stocked on hand. Oddest business model I have ever run across. Albertson’s rents shelf space with no care what the vendor puts there. What the customer wants is very much secondary.

Having spent 50 of my near 70 years in AZ I can attest that 25% of the folks here aren’t ones I would associate with. Some are hard core and ready to advertise the crazy by sporting a 3ft by 5 ft American flag on a short pole by the tailgate of their pick up that’s missing a hood, both front fenders and doors. This very vehicle I am describing belongs to a couple who live down the street from me. The truck’s for sale too.

Wow that’s approx 300,000 votes cast for Dem Governor candidates but they only cast 200,000 for the Dem Senate nominees? And this is with just 6% reporting. Something wrong with these numbers or my calculations.
Welp Ward and Arpiao will be looking for other employment. Likely ward will be calling Ducey to beg him for McCain’s seat as her last resort. The establishment GOP won their side of the senate race. I hope Sinema has a chance.
May Ducey go down to defeat.
May trump have nightmares of indictments.
And may he be secure in the knowledge that when he leaves office he will go to jail.
And may all children ripped from their families by trump and his ICE agents be returned to their rightful families. I will never forgive trump for his cruelty.

Are you sure about that second statement? IIRC, Tammy Baldwin was the first out lesbian to be elected to the house and she is currently serving in the senate (orientation presumably unchanged). Regardless, it sucks that openly LGBT congresscriters are still countable. We need our congress to be representative of the american people, in all senses

She’s one of only a handful of LGBT Congressmembers (Baldwin was the first in the Senate), but the only openly bisexual. Also, while she was the first openly nonreligious member of Congress (IIRC there is one or two more now; still a woefully underrepresented 25% of the population), she has specifically declined to call herself an atheist.

Back when Freedom Fries, Freedom Toast etc were all the rage as Dim Son was illegally invading a sovereign nation having nothing to do with 9-11, bin Laden or al Queda I went into a Coldstone store to get my favorite French Vanilla, raspberry and macadamia nut cone. Couldn’t see the French Vanilla in the case for a bit and then realized that the franchise owner of the store had changed the name to Freedom Vanilla. Went well with the support the troops posters on the wall. I sent off an angry email to Coldstone headquarters letting them know that ice cream parlors are not the place for political games and that I was very offended. Came in from my woodshop late one night to a voice message from a concerned employee who set up a time for us to converse. She told me how angry headquarters was that any store would arbitrarily change the name of one of their signature ice cream flavors and that she was grateful that I had contacted them. She said the franchisee had already been notified that any further politicization could result in loss of the franchise. Then she sent me five coupons for free ice cream. As you know that’s worth like hundreds of dollars. Anyway that’s when Ducey was running the corporation but I don’t think he was involved in the decision to break bad on the franchisee. Didn’t even know who he was at that time.

McSally looks like the best GOP candidate on paper, but Sinema has outpolled all the GOP candidates and McSally has lost her center-right brand as she clumsily tries to embrace a Trumper label while lobbing awkward barbs at Sinema’s sexuality all the while the state of AZ is developing a blue tint, particularly in the state’s most populous county, Maricopa. Add to that the fact that Sinema gets to run on the same ballot with David Garcia, she should be poised to get a very high latino turnout to add to her base of indie voters and centrist Dems. I would expect Sinema to win this race by about 4 points.
I think Bill Nelson’s campaign in FL was resurrected tonight. Rick Scott has only received 47%-48% of the vote in each of this two elections. With Gillum being able to deliver votes to Nelson with less investment of time, Nelson is now free to play a little bit with house money and go after Scott in the I-4 and in Northern FL while making several appearances with Gillum.

To get elected as a Republican in an even slightly competitive place now, you have to behave completely insane in the primaries, then have a sudden bout of partial sanity (not too much, lest President Hutt hear) in the regular election, all while raising money from a shrinking group of oligarchs that just want tax breaks and regulation changes.
You have to make them pay for this self-inflicted weakness - do it for Canada guys.

Well, at least Arpaio will have to find a non public funded source of income. Like Sheriff Clarke he can join the Trump reelection campaign or some right wing “think tank” looking for lowest common denominator “ideas.”
