Discussion: McMaster ‘Not Concerned’ By Reports On Kushner-Moscow Backchannel

“Deriliction of Duty” - it’s a how-to book!

Anyone who ever believed Paul Ryan was a policy wonk was clearly comparing him to the policy-absent Freedom Caucus and the FOX viewers who now represent the GOP and its electorate. It is like Boehner being considered sane and bi-partisan in the TPM article yesterday quoting the Vanity Fair piece on his current opinions and musings.

Well George was in the bag for Reagan, Bush, et.al. so he has some experience with terrible judgement and charlatans.

Good grief – it the situation were so dire that he thinks he is the only one standing between Trump and armageddon, then its even more urgent for him to stop protecting the maniac and alert the public and congress that the president is unfit for office and needs to be removed at once. Evoke article 25 – and to hell with decorum. Emergency!

I still think you’re looking at what’s right and wrong most of the time, in a general way, not at the particular situation. Mattis and McMaster, being where they are, might literally save the world from destruction. If they’re deliberately sacrificing their reputations in order to serve us the best way they can in a difficult situation, I think the least we could do in return is at least try to imagine that an honorable person might choose that option. McMaster, Mattis, Rosenstein are highly regarded as individuals. I continue to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That’s just not practical. McMaster doesn’t have the power to do what you suggest, and the people who do have failed us consistently.

G7 talks: Trump isolated over Paris climate change deal

Leaders of the G7 group of rich nations have failed to agree a statement on climate change.
Six world leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the Paris accord, the world’s first comprehensive deal aimed at reducing greenhouse emissions.
However, the US has refused to recommit to the agreement, saying it will make a decision next week.
Mr Trump, who once dismissed global warming as a “hoax”, has previously threatened to pull out of the accord.
This is Mr Trump’s first G7 summit - during his first foreign trip.
G7 leaders from the US, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan have agreed a statement on fighting terrorism.

His economic adviser, Gary Cohn, said Mr Trump “came here to learn. He came here to get smart. His views are evolving… exactly as they should be.”

Fucking criminals and fools.

Yeah, they all about honor, duty and country. Unlike us hippies…

But really Gwns. Flynn, McMaster, Kelly & Mattis. either committing treason, helping the traitors cover up, or just playing fool looking some other way. That just goes to prove that ALL Trump appointees are a bunch of crooks.

Hey, wow. This is a really nice facility! We don’t have anything like this in America. We can’t translate Portuguese at all, but your system does. Impressive. And this! Man, we can only communicate with our submarines on channel 12.

And then lie about it on falsely sworn applications for a US Government Security Clearance of the highest level.

Which Jefferson Beauregard III also did. And General Michael “Lock Her UP” Flynn.also did.

OK then. I do get your point – that there are things we do not know and that maybe we should trust these honorable men to do what they must to save us. However, I am still reeling from the news yesterday that Comey acted upon information he knew was false. He thought he was doing the right thing, and it backfired and now we are, as NCSteve brought up, in the position of having President Trump with his busy little fingers hovering over the nuclear launch codes. Argh.

Is Kathryn Kuhlman still around? Oy gevalt!

Ciao Bella! Welcome back!

Don’t worry, you didn’t miss much while you were gone, just a few weeks of very slow news days…

Hope your trip was great! The brilliant minds around here knew that, once that pig-eyed sack of shit arrived in Italy, you’d be returning to us!

Rommel was a brilliant tactician but there’s no reason to believe he knew squat about strategy. Also he was a Nazi who only broke with Hitler tepidly and very late in the game. I wish folks would stop holding him up as any kind of example just because he took poison.

Jaws dropping here. The Long Long Game. Multi-dimensional Chess. 3rd-term President, eh? And who is back on the TV looking bright and chipper and chatting with Angela this week?

Thanks!

Yeah we got out just ahead of his arrival in Rome by about a day I think. And I can tell I didn’t miss much :joy: :astonished:

why don’t they want NSA, CIA, FBI to intercept, read, and investigate?

Reminds me of when Trump had Comey, Sessions and Pence in the Oval Office for a recent briefing in February. When it was over Trump had Sessions and Pence leave the room so he could ask Comey to go easy on Flynn.

Like they they always say on Law and Order - what was the intent.
