“At a recent meeting, McConnell reportedly told his members that his strategy is to keep asking the White House for a replacement healthcare plan while he bashes Democratic proposals.”
It is up to Congress to write the plan not the President. How can he bash the Dems proposals if he has no idea of what to propose himself?
Interesting. If only the Dems can stay on-message on improving the ACA/Obamacare, and not get sucked in to the whole “Medicare for all” debacle. Just as McConnell knows they won’t rescind the ACA/Obamacare, the Dems should know they won’t get Medicare for all, single payer, or other variations of it. Can’t get there from here, certainly not with the Senate in McConnell’s hands. And while going for such pie-in-the-sky approaches, however, laudable, the Dems leave themselves open to attacks, however unjustified, about socialized medicine. Stay on-message, get elected, and then see about what else should and can be done to improve things for people.
I wonder why Trumpp and the GOP don’t use that amazing plan that Trumpp has told us several times, starting shortly after inauguration (if not earlier), was very nearly complete.

Nancy Pelosi is going to hammer them with such ads in the House campaigns. Senate Dems and our nominee will follow suit.
[/quote]And since Trump is the Republican party now, when even they say, “Let’s see your plan,” it doesn’t do him much good either - at least not with anyone but his most fervent shrinking base.
He won’t look at what those proposals, or weigh their merits - nope, he won’t do his job of governing for the good of the citizens. It’s all about power and spite.
all those people dying and addicted in his state of Kentucky might now know. after all the time and effort what Republicans and McConnell have done. take away their Health care in the House 70 times. think it got through??? well see thousands thousands dying jeez vote the out its not lack of education. its just lack of knowledge
Mitch McConnell is as dirty and conniving as trump. He might not hop on board trumps sinking ship right now, but once trump utters the very vaguest of health care ideas, or once trump gloms onto one of his aides’ ideas for healthcare, Mitch will be all in, no matter how hurtful and hideous the idea. He is as vile and cruel as his so called president.
Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), still bearing scars from
the GOP’s last disastrous attempt to shoot down Obamacare, is washing
his hands of President Donald Trump’s newest push.
Gonna need a lot more brillo pads than what he probably has available.
