Never change, Kentucky. Hope you lose everything.

Is it too soon to mention the “I” word: impeachment. For McConnell that is: http://www.thenation.com/article/186689/mitch-mcconnells-freighted-ties-shadowy-shipping-company

Mommy, I have a tummy ache. Make the bad man go away…He scares me.

Grimes was a terrible candidate. If you are a Democrat who is running for office this year
and refuse to say if you voted for your party’s candidate in 2012 or 2008 when that candidate decimated their opponent,
then you deserve to lose. You look like a fool.

This one hurts. I can’t find exit poll data anywhere but whomever didn’t vote, you are the reason Mitch is still in the Senate.

This hurts like nothing since my grandfather died. I know ReaLiberals are going to dance on Grimes’ grave because that’s absolutely what you wanted in order to prove yourselves right. Grimes did it all. My girl, put every damn thing on the table. She was outspent 2 to 1 and yet she fought the good fight. This. Fucking. Hurts.

At least Ted Cruz will be there when Mitch gets back to the office.

OK, I will be totally obnoxious right now and argue that if Lundergan-Grimes had run as a old time Democrat, that is, for the people, with the people, and had not distanced herself from Obamacare and the President, and not tried to be too cute by halves, she might have won. But that’s wishful thinking and the South is still the South and stupid is still stupid, stupid, stupid.

But, it was an impressive effort.

How this slime ball keeps getting re-elected is beyond me

Mitch has a heart?

Ya know Plucky, that’s not helpful. You defended her when she started acting like a coward. I knew that would backfire on her. I lived on an Army base in the deep south for almost 20 years. I know the south. And I never got the willingness of southern Democrats to roll over. I know you will spit at me and scratch and scream, and I get that, but there comes a time when someone has to stand up for what is right. Appeasing, and compromising and doing the wink wink nod nod doesn’t work. It just doesn’t. I sent her money. I wanted her to win. I hope this is a lesson learned. Don’t run away from your party.

Karma’s a Mitch… now he gets to know what it is like to have your own party abandon you.

I really do believe Ashley Judd would have clobbered him, and she would never have run away from our President, the way Grimes did in such typical party insider fashion.

But party politics trumps real progress over and over again and again.

Mitch can celebrate until Cruz and all the other power hungry extremist loons make a Boehner, or worse, out of him.

I watched, just by chance, Alison Lundergan give it good and hard and long to McConnell at the Fancy Farm Fair in KY a few months back. It was a delight. She’s made some mistakes since then but put up a fight, a good fight as a Dem and a woman running against a 5 term incumbent in KY.

If that was exclusive to the south, it would be much easier to understand, but this election, the cowardice and wimpy acquiescence was pretty much allover the map.

For the first time in my adult life, I am so disillusioned with the way “my” party treated “my” President, I’m considering pulling an Orman.
