I wonder what the game is here. I know they don’t like Trump, but if not him, who? It’s a bit late in the day for another candidate to emerge.

I imagine that some part of Trump’s business interests and personal taxes will always be under some form of audit. He’s never going to release his recent tax returns. Just like Romney.
This is beyond irritating! First TPM refuses to cover Hillary because she is not a raving lunatic, and then they equate her 30 years of published tax returns with one partial summary of Bernies’s from 2 years ago (before he started paying his wife as a campaign operative, for example!

McConnell? He’s the same guy who was talking about the precedent of not confirming a Supreme Court judge in an election year, right?
I wouldn’t put too much faith in Mitch McConnell’s assessment of what does and what does not constitute “precedent.”
There probably is, but with Trump, tax returns aren’t the only likely source of bombshells. We’ll see them, regardless of source.

You must have gotten a TPM correction, as it states:

That’s still not a correction, as he’s only released the first 2 pages of his 2014 returns. And nobody has called him out on the absurdity of “my wife’s been kind of busy” excuse – the returns (I assume) were filed long ago, it’s just a question of making them available. It’s not like she’s being required to actually do the returns now. Unless maybe that’s the problem, he didn’t file them? Hm.

While I agree that tramp should release his taxes well before the election, I also think that tramp should work to remove McConnell from his majority leader position ASAP.
Agreed. It’s especially ludicrous that we hear non-stop sniping from Sander’s about Clinton’s paid speeches considering that the only reason we know what she was paid is because she released years worth of returns.
Maybe it’s time to start asking Bernie if the reason he won’t release his returns is because there are some sources of income he doesn’t want to be made public.
