Discussion: McConnell: This Election Is A Choice Between The Lesser Of Two Evils

…and I know evil. I was born of it.

There, finished it for you McTurtle.

Sorry, Senator, but you cannot distance yourself from your candidate now. Thanks to years and years of grievance politics and stoking racial/class animus, your party’s voters served you a shit sandwich. Bite. Chew. Swallow. Repeat.

Who knew that some of our resident Sanders dead-enders were really just McConnell fans still in the closet and channeling their inner Mitch?

Clinton is hardly my ‘ideal’ candidate, but she is not even on the bad side of the good/evil dividing line.

It’s a choice between not getting anything done and not getting anything done that Bitch wants.

To McConnell, just being a Democrat is considered evil. He deserves all the trumping he gets.

Such profound analysis–it’s no wonder the Senate was such an effective institution these past two years.

Like Obama, for Clinton there is the real version and the Fox News version. For both Obama and Clinton, they are completely different people.

“Lesser of two evils” is about as faint as praise gets. Five months to go. This is a very strange election cycle.

C’mon Mitch, you know you wanna:

I don’t see how Rump can win in Nov. How?

When your own (supposedly) political party considers you to be one of two evils, you aren’t going over the finish line.

“Well, it just is,” McConnell said. “That’s an honest answer. This is a choice that many Americans are not happy with. But it is the choice.”

Well, not this American – I am more than happy to vote for Hillary Clinton. Plus, if you really consider HRC an evil, a person with a working reasoning capability must conclude she is far less evil than anything you guys were even considering – and especially what you’ve decided to put forth, for dog’s sake!

I expect this from McConnell, but for Bernie to go there…rapidly losing respect for him.

Absolutely no reason for him to say that, especially since they agree on most issues.

Incredible. This is the Republican Senate majority leader describing his own party’s candidate. Sure, Sanders may have said the same thing, but find me one prominent actual Democrat who would use these words to describe the voters’ choice.

Agreed except I’d already lost all respect for Bernie a little while back when he kept hemming and hawing about whether he’d thought Hillary was qualified or corrupt, etc. The only “respect” I hold for the man now is the fact he is a human being.

When was the last time any semi-major political party had a presidential candidate so manifestly unfit for the position that top party officials felt the need to say this kind of thing? Zachary Taylor maybe??? Not even W. Not even Buchanan. Even Palin was sold as good for the country–though nobody except Kristol believed it.

“Trump: Evil, But Less Evil.”

The prospect of her presidency has the GOP rattled. I, on the other hand, am enjoying the prospect of a president who has a brick in her handbag.

“The lesser of two evils”? I’m sorry, Mitch, but I have a hard time thinking you would ever vote for Hillary. LOL!
But at least you kept Obama from being a twelve-term president, just like you promised.
