What the GOP has come up with is protection that resembles the wall street derivative scam…
Thanks, Hillary
These guys sure can’t get their story straight. Go for it Mitch, great wake up call for dumbfuckistan rural Kentuckians. Might even hurt Bevin too, so please proceed.
Let them eat cake
You meam McConnell will be as successful in restoring the pre 2010 health insurance market as he was at limiting BHO to one term?
You know what hurts me, both physically and mentally, these putzes talking!
This is just like the sequester but in reverse. It’s sad.
Oh shut your pie hole Mitch ya dumb ass. Wouldn’t it be easier and faster to just fix the problems? I hate the GOP.
Failure?? It’s not perfect but a step in the right direction. Most expert’s say it’s been a success for the most part but like all new big changes needs a little help and adjustment. Makes sense. To bad we have so many stupid people in this country.
The sick notion that Obamacare is some kind of horror which needs repeal is laughable.
Only the mentally ill Trump voters think this is so. Many are on Obamacare. Of these fools, I no longer care if they live or die.
A little harsh but I do agree. Any harm the orange ass hole causes hopefully will land mostly on his brain dead supporters and those who voted for this joke of a leader.
Not harsh enough. I no longer care about cretins who don’t care about themselves, or the planet, or their children.
Sounds like you may be better off paying the fine, or maybe your company is the problem and trying to do it as cheap as possible in order to meet the requirements. Something sounds fishy with your coverage, it seems every-time I read about these horror stories about cost and coverage, it ends up being a lack of knowledge or researching of the options. Maybe it’s time to look a little closer at home and try to figure out what the hell is going on with the health of your family. But regardless, Medicare for all does make the most sense. I believe we could eliminate two very big problems we have by having free healthcare and education like most other civilized countries do.
The Republicans can keep repeating their mantra that Obamacare is a failure, but that does not make it so. And the chances that they will come up with something that will provide as good (let alone better) coverage is nil.
Very, very sad for people in need. It’s going to be a shitty four years. I just hope we can recover.
Doesn’t congress get insurance through the ACA?
This makes me sick knowing how little they care. VP-elect Pence sees this as a “real opportunity”. I know that it’s coming but still. Buckle your seat belts. It’s about to get bumpy for this country and its most vulnerable citizens.
I think maybe just staffers? Not sure.
wow…i dont know how you/people like you survive…medicare for all really is the answer…for the life of me i cant understand why the average voter doesn’t understand how the republicans dont care about health costs destroying their families…and the dems don’t get a free pass here…yea…we all heard how passing medicare for all was impossible…but so what…what we have is a mess and nothing short of medicare for all is going to solve it.
If hjs62 just pays the fine, he and his family have no insurance. No parent I know would willingly take the risk that their child won’t need a $125,000 surgery next year.
I’m not leaving my wife and kids without coverage. My wife had a life threatening illness back in 2011-2012, which cost me $30,000, by the way. But she has made a full recovery and lives a normal life now, that is priceless, by the way.
I had rotator cuff surgery in 2015, $40,000 total cost. I was actually injured in 2014, the MRI showed the whole muscle group was completely detached. It was going to cost me personally around $20,000 was my recollection. I lived with the pain and lack of functionality until open enrollment, then got the super-duper, premium platinum, low deductible policy and then had the surgery in January. My end was I think $10,000.
I currently have the PPO option so that we could keep the doctor and group that we like.
However, it is killing me, so I am going with the bare bones HMO, with $12,000 deductible during the next open enrollment period. That is $500 per month.
It comes down to size. Small business gets totally screwed because of the small pool, that is the only thing I can figure.
In any event, I know it’s not your intention, so don’t take this personally, but there isn’t any problem with my family or with my employer. The problem is with our arcane and costly healthcare system.
