I never turned down a request to meet with President Obama except that one time when he stupidly didn’t check my schedule and I was “already booked”…but other than that I was a model of bipartisan comity…except of course We, and I personally, did everything in our power to subvert or prevent anything that Obama foolishly wanted to “accomplish.”

McConnell, Ryan and Trump have proven themselves to be pathological liars. The goal of the GOP for the past 40 years - and this can be shown objectively from the policies they support and the legislation they fight for and occasionally pass - is to increase income inequality. When they pass a GOP-only supported bill - and they will - they will be grinning from ear to ear and each one of them will talk about how they beat the Democrats and passed a bill to benefit the middle class. We’ve moved beyond “alternative facts” to the Orwellian world we predicted a year ago.
