Are turtle-years like dog-years, Yertle? Your timeframe is kinda hard to followâŚ
In dog-years, the GOP has only been working on ACA repeal for 1 year,
In turtle-years, it seems like 49 years.
What whattaya know. Even the genius maneuverer is having trouble getting the Killing Grandma Act of 2017 through. Iâm no genius maneuverer myself, just a casual observer really, but I think having less grandma-killing is a thought. Just sayinâ. And maybe tell the rich people the society actually thinks theyâre already rich enough and people donât want to die just so they can be richer. People are funny like that.
It will be back, it will be just as bad, and it will pass. In the end, even Susan Collins will vote for it.
Maybe he will pass new rules that say its ok only for this session to have things pass with only 40 votes.
McConnell: "I think everybody around the table is interested in getting to yes, interested in getting an outcome.â
Trump: âAnd if we donât get it done, itâs just going to be something that weâre not going to like. And thatâs okay, and I understand that very well.â
As he said while fleeing reporters
" itâll just take us a little bit longer.â
Because 7 years of talking shit about the ACA was just not enough time for us to come up with a real alternative planâŚ
I donât think McConnell cared that much about a âhealth billâ per se. What he cared about was what most Republicans care about, what they would strangle granny and crawl through glass for: a big tax cut for the wealthy (including themselves). Sticking it to the legacy of that uppity black fella would add real joy to the juice though.
And this tax-cut in drag bill they are trying to pass does both so you can bet Republicans will move heaven and earth to get it done as close to what it is now as they can get it and, if this incarnation genuinely proves unworkable, theyâll return to it in the form of âtax reformâ instead of âbetter healthâ and try again.
Everything Republicans do is crap but they are very skilled in tying a nice ribbon on it; thatâs easy enough to change at need.
Like 7 more years or so? This has been going on for so long now that republicans have forgotten why they want to replace Obamacare.
And when they are roasted by their constituents it will have no effect on their votes

Is Mitch McConnell really Mr. Potato Head?
I think everybody on the Democratic side has noticed, but the medicaid piece of the McConnell ârepealâ turd is a deal breaker.
Mitch also said something about how this stuff is complicated as shown by the Democrats when they passed the ACA. What he didnât mention is that the Democrats had tons of hearings for months on end and there were hundreds (?) of Republican amendments, mostly just nonsense but some substantive and accepted. It was an actual process, and as bipartisan as possible given that Republicans generally did not want to do anything about the US being the only advanced country with no health care system.
Mitch, Iâm pretty sure you sold what was left of your blackened shriveled soul to the Koch brothers and your billionaire in-laws but youâve lost it dude there is no way you can get the moderates and wack jobs in your own party to agree on healthcare. Give it up, pack it in, go home and spend your time counting your money. For the record you are amongst the wack jobs.
McConnell: Itâll Take GOP âA Little Bit Longerâ To Pass Obamacare Repeal."
