Sorry McTurtle. Coming from a man that has spent the last almost 7+ years trying to delegitimize the first Black President of the United States, just doesnāt fit with his newly discovered sentiments. They may hate tRump to be their standard bearer now, but McTurtleās hypocrisy is just too obvious for all to see. He and the KKK have a lot more in common with each other than he cares to admit.

While he was at it, did McConnell condemn Ronald Reagan opening his 1980 campaign in a nod to violent segregationists by kicking it off in Philadelphia, Miss.?
Did he condemn George H.W. Bushās Willie Horton ad? Did he condemn his pal Jesse Helms racist āHandsā ad against Harvey Gantt? Did he condemn Voter ID laws, foot-dragging on a renewal for the Voting Rights Act, or bigotry agains gay people?
Did he condemn the way his party has played footsie with racists to delegitimize a twice-elected black president with coded language ā¦ that heās Muslim ā¦ or a Kenyan? Did he condemn withholding constitutional authority from the first black president by refusing for the first time in the republicās history to acknowledge his right to nominate a Supreme Court justice?

Iād love to be able to say that, hey, if you find yourself having to publicly sate that you donāt support the KKK then youāre really in a lot of trouble. But if that sort of thing were true for the Republican party, they would have folded long ago.

I hope so. The fissures are growing. If we (and by that, I mean the people of the United States of America and, ultimately, the Republican Party itself) are very lucky, this will grow into a full-blown split. One party for conservatives, and another for white supremacists.
